A nice old hotel room good size only problem the shower could have been better
Would definately recommend coming here, a wonderful experience 👍
Breakfast was absolutely amazing and level of service by staff was incredible. Local area isn’t great but if you’re visiting Bicester to go shopping this place is the perfect hotel to stay the night or two. We loved it and will be back next year for sure.
Staff very nice and helpful. Very clean, good bedding and towels. Downside a bit out of town but nice and quiet at weekends
The accommodation was clean and quiet. Will book again
Oxfordshire has many attractive villages set in picturesque rolling landscapes, and the choice of accommodation for visitors is comprehensive to say the least. From plush hotels in cities like Oxford to B&Bs in the smaller towns and villages, there's always plenty to choose from here. Bicester Village is a case in point, a rural idyll that attracts huge numbers of visitors each year and yet manages to retain its traditional charm, unruffled by all the attention it receives.
It's a remarkable fact that Bicester Village is visited by over six million people every year, with 10,000 coaches bringing them in. Why do they come? For the excellent shopping mostly, although Bicester and the surrounding region has other attractions too. In 2015 a new station was built here, the first in more than a century to link London with another United Kingdom city. Many wealthier visitors actually arrive by helicopter in a field just outside the village. These hordes of enthusiastic visitors come to Bicester for the designer outlets with 60% off the RRP, and scoop up the Celine, Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood creations like there's no tomorrow!
Bicester Village has long been a popular shopping destination for day-trippers, but in recent years holidaymakers have started coming here for a break that combines leisure with shopping. Visitors from the Far East are very much in evidence, with Bicester being as popular a UK destination for them as is Buckingham Palace. A measure of the village's popularity can be seen from the fact that at London's Marylebone Station there are now signs for Bicester Village in Mandarin! Bicester is perfectly positioned between London and Birmingham too, and as the transport links between cities across the UK are excellent the visitors flock here throughout the year.
Based in local accommodation such as Bignell Park Hotel or Oxfordshire Inn Hotel, you'll be well placed for designer shopping in Bicester Village. Also, in times of austerity it's always nice to know that you're able to truly claim that you got your designer label handbag on the cheap!
