Victoria stay at the Admiral Inn

Posted 06-Oct-2015 on Hotels
The room was spacious and very clean. The furniture was in very good condition. The beds were new but very soft - try asking for a room with a firmer mattress. The balcony was spacious. The people were great and very helpful. My husband wanted a full English style breakfast so we did not take advantage of the free continental breakfast (ate at a nearby restaurant). The parking is easy and off street and lots of room. Elevator was handy and helpful. Location is fine for walking downtown to see sights, eat, etc. There is free parking and Wifi and cable TV.

Good hotel, good services, and right downtown. Personnel was very nice and helped with the special requests too.

Old fashioned comfort.

The location is on the harbor and within walking distance of most of what we wanted to do. It could not have been better. The checkin was welcoming, informative, and professional. We enjoyed a free upgrade. We took a local bus to the Butchart Gardens. We parked the car and walked everywhere. We took the car out once, to go to the East Sooke Provincial Park about an hour up the coast. The continental breakfast in the lobby was pleasant and homey and provided an opportunity to converse with fellow guests. In fact the Admiral Inn was crucial to the success of our visit to Victoria. We will pass the word and definitely stay here's again.

Super Location

Perfectly fine hotel in super location. The only bad thing was the plethora of stinky smokers at every entrance and balcony.

One nighter.

Nice place. Older place. Nice view. Continential breakfast was fine. Room was a little small for my liking but nicely done. Balcony is not a private balcony. It is a common balcony that extends the length of the building. So anyone could walk the length of the balcony and see in all rooms if the curtains were open. The balcony doors all open to the common balcony.(Not an inconvenience for me, just an observation.)

I did not stay. I checked into the hotel and saw the rooms and had to find another hotel to stay the night. The beds needed to be replaced and the rooms needs upgrades. It was a horrible attempt at lodging for over 200 dollars a night. I did not stay.

Walking distance to sights.

Posted 18-Sep-2015
Pros: Older lodging with some charm & ambiance.
Cons: No complaints
Older, pleasant hotel. Free parking & breakfast nice pluses. Walking distance to all sights and eateries in Inner Harbour.
