Het hotel ligt ook aan de rand van het centrum van Venlo met winkelgebied en de oevers van de Maas. Venlo kan ook het startpunt zijn voor wandelingen en fietstochten langs de Maas en in het bosrijke Nederlands-Duitse grensgebied.
