A pretty and spacious apartment, with all the comforts. The house as it is today is the result of an architectural salvage of an old industrial structure, nearby the hotel Molino Stucky, in the suggestive and pleasant ambiance of Giudecca island. The apartment has an independent entrance overlooking a quiet alley and access is with a numerical code communicated during check-in. The 90 square meter apartment is situated on two floors, it is composed of three bedrooms and it can comfortably accommodate 6 people: \- On the ground floor you will be welcomed by the living room with sofa and TV; the living area with kitchen equipped with dishwasher, oven and microwave oven; a laundry room with washing machine and a safe box; a bathroom with shower; the first double bedroom (with a cot on request). \- Upstairs you will find a double bedroom in the open space of the mezzanine above the living area; a bathroom with shower; a bedroom with two single beds. Free WIFI and air conditioning/heating in every room. It is located about 150 m. from the Palanca pier (water bus). In the same area there are various types of shops and nice restaurants. Everything is outside of the big tourist flows so our guests can really dive in the most authentic Venetian life. The island of Giudecca is separated from its namesake's canal of 300 meters from the city, but is well-served by public transport. Indeed from here all destinations can be reached: Saint Mark's, Lido with its beaches, and the islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello. We were a group of five including our two teens, the bed mix was awesome to make that work comfortably. Well appointed, the space is great to have to relax in the evening, only drawback (although very doable) is the size of the showers, I am over 6' and over 200lbs, it worked but felt like an old cruise ship. There are groceries and pharmacy nearby and a great coffee shop for the morning. The ad is clear about this but the only thing I would say is since you are on the island of Guidecca there are plus and minuses, you are secluded and quite which at night is great. The Hilton hotel next door offers a late night drink or a quick bite on top of the local places, so you have what you need. But you will need to plan all your activites accordingly to the boat schedules and assume you will pay extra to get to everything for those boat rides. The Hilton offers a great free option to hop across the cannal but the times are limited. All that being considered, this is a great place and you want to book it, I would say go for it. ##### Aaron R. This was an amazing location, with an Alilaguna waterbus to/from the airport, a vaporetto stop, restaurants, and a grocery store all in quick walking distance. We appreciated the comfortable, firm beds. Two bedrooms are upstairs (one an open loft space) and one downstairs. There is a laundry room with a washing machine plus a drying rack that worked well. It was in excellent condition, with a good layout. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was very well-equipped, and the location suited us. It was a short walk to the Palanca vaporetto stop with the number 2 stopping there frequently to whisk us either to Zattere on the other side of the Giudecca canal, or to San Marco. There were a number of really good restaurants not far along the waterfront - enough choice to not have to go far after a long day sightseeing. We spent three nights at this apartment and really loved it. The property manager Cristina and her husband Nino are fantastic! They really went above and beyond to get us settled in and comfortable. The apt is in a great area and we loved staying on Giudecca. It was fun taking the ferry over to Venice and very easy. We took a water taxi to and from the airport which is definitely costly, but in the interest of time and convenience we did it.
