great hotel

Posted 11-Apr-2018
Pros: Location and decor
Location: Lots of shops and bars nearby.
The hotel is near restaurants bars and shops. Very convenient for tube only 4 min walk. The room was really welcoming and i found the colour scheme calming. There was some noise from outside but you are in a busy city and the windows do shut most out. Small roof terrace for when the sun was out.Staff good too. All in all very pleasant.

central old city

Posted 26-Mar-2018
very accommodating hotel, you can very much walk to everywhere you need if not metro! very Spanish city. Lys hotel seams to be the hotel where the bull fighters stay the bull ring being just round the corner. I do feel in this day and age (in the EU) bull fighting, which is part or Spanish culture, should be stopped.

Lovely hotel

Posted 22-Mar-2018
The Vincci Lys is a lovely hotel with superb breakfast buffet. The room was very comfortable and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. The only downside is that it is fairly close to the bullring and nearly all afternoon/evening they showed this horrific "sport" on the large TV in the Lounge/Bar which stopped us from sitting there whilst this was on. I understand that this is a Spanish culture but who wants to see animals tortured to death when on holiday!!

Lovely Stylish Hotel

Posted 08-Mar-2018
Pros: Rooms were well decorated, we were given a twin room with a balcony very unexpected. Despite being in the busy area of Valencia the sound proofing
Location: Central, with many shops, bars and restaurants.
VL was close to central Valencia. The breakfast room was well staffed by very polite and attentive employees. The buffet had an excellent selection of foods. Reception staff were friendly, cheerful and extremely helpful.

Cozy design in the heart of Valencia

Posted 10-Feb-2018
Very nice design and comfortable setting for business or pleasure travel. Only downside is that the weather was unusually cold in Valencia and the room temperature was too low. Bathrobes and slippers are available at a charge, it would be a new c'è touch if they were included, the hotel has a four star rating after all. Very nice complete breakfast. Rooms are a good size for diwtown and are very comfortable. Bathrooms are also spacious. All in all a comfortable stay in Valencia

Excellent position

Posted 17-Jan-2018
This is situated near the city hall and the station. You are surrounded by shops, so you will hear city noise if the window is open. The air con was fixed very quickly, and pillows of your choice supplied. The staff are very helpful, particularly Tere in the dining room. I have a gluten free diet, some places are fab with this diet, this hotel supplied a roll and gf bun. Of course I could have the fruit, cooked breakfast and more. As a suggestion, there is a wonderful gf bakers called Celiacruz nearby and their gf croissants and pain chocolate were gf heaven. If a coeliac was offered these for breakfast it would make their day!

Run down hotel with dark rooms and weird twin beds

Posted 02-Jan-2018 on Orbitz
Dark rooms, staff was not helpful with our room situation. They deliberately sell twin beds in anticipation of up selling the king rooms for 66 euros more per night which is def not worth considering the rundown stage of the hotel. There is literally buckets and wooden stairs everywhere. The good thing is the hotel has an agreement with the parking garage so 19 euros was a good deal I believe to park . Otherwise I wonder how they got 4 stars under any rating scale . We stayed on bunch of hotels in Spain and all were 4 stars and this was 2 star relatively. Can’t recommend this place
