The breakfast food was good, the staff friendly and efficient, and the hotel ambiance was understated, quiet, and comfortable. We brought our car—easy parking—but arrival by train or coach would have been fine. Su fortaleza, con las tres murallas, fosos, y vistas al Miño y a Tui. I stayed at both the Pousada in Valença and the Parador in Tui—the Pousada wins hands-down, simply because of the view. Even if your room doesn’t have a view, the dining room does.
