Enorm verkeerslawaai gedurende de gehele nacht. Hotel zelf ook 'nachts behoorlijk lawaaierig.

not the hotel in the picture but functional room

They use a photo of a hotel down the street that is now closed for their publicity - the photo in the picture is NOT this hotel! I got a nice clean bed and have nothing to complain about but also nothing to say it was great. Nice guy at the desk, very good wifi signal. Luckily, that's all I needed -- oh, and I did find free on-street parking, which I'm told is unusual in Utrecht.

Hotel mit passendem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Eine insgesamt angenehme Woche in Utrecht und Amsterdam. Das Hotel liegt in fußläufiger Nähe zur Altstadt von Utrecht und ist dieses auch mit dem PKW gut erreichbar. Die Zimmer sind klein, aber sauber, das Personal ist freundlich und bemüht, wenn auch mal gelegentlich der Weißwein ausgeht.

Necesita profunda reforma

Hotel de 1/2 disfrazado de 3 estrellas, tranquilo y limpio pero con instalaciones viejas, algo alejado del centro y baños muy antiguos. Recepción inexistente: a la entrada el señor que atendía salía y entraba de otro establecimiento vecino. Cuando salimos a la mañana siguiente había una urna para depositar la llave y todo cerrado. Desayuno fast food.

De kamer had 6 bedden, 1 stoel en een badkamer waar je via een smal gangetje bij de douche kwam met douche gordijn. Meer valt er niet over te zeggen.

You get what you pay for

Economy Hotel is simply just that - an economy hotel. The place is essentially closed between 600-1400 hours. There is no elevator - just small twirling curved stairs; and the room is small. I had barely enough room to move around and if i needed to get into bed or use the toilet, I had to move my suitcase forward or backward. The sink is inside the shower so make sure you have a towel to step on once you have showered. Having said that I must admit the front desk staff was very kind and helpful. They helped carry my suitcase up the stairs, allowed me to use their fridge for my groceries. And they had a computer in the lobby so I could e-mail and watch the basketball games. Overall I was happy with my stay. One more thing- you can take bus number 77 from Utrecht Central Station and get to this hotel in just 3 minutes. So for the frugal and those on a budget - this hotel is for you.

Katastrophal

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 14 Personen da, die Zimmerverteilung an der Rezeption hat eine geschlagene Stunde gedauert! Obwohl die Zimmer ab 14 Uhr beziehbar sein sollten waren um 15:30 Uhr nur 50 % der Zimmer fertig, z.t. lag noch Müll vom Vorgänger unter dem Bett. In einem Zimmer war die Matratze von unter verschimmelt,das Zimmer konnte wenigstens gewechselt werden. Die Flure waren völlig verdreckt mit Zigarettenkippen und Baudreck.

A true rathole.

A true rathole. Filthy carpet. One minimal towel for both hands and shower. No drinking glasses. No chair. Three persons with luggages and the "room" was overcrowded. Look for a hotel instead.

Tiny room

I was late to book a hotel for my attendance of a trade fair at Utrecht's Jaarbeurs, but Economy Hotel still had a few rooms available. I decided not to pay a premium for the other surrounding hotels because the user rating for Economy Hotel is decent despite its 2-star official rating. While the hotel's location was fine (it is an easy 10-15 min walk from the train station and trade fair and a 15-20 minute walk to the Dom Tower in the city center), I do not think the hotel deserves the user ratings it's getting. First of all, I had difficulty finding the place because the hotel's entrance moved away from the corner that the pictures suggest. In fact, before I called, I was standing outside the closed location at night thinking the hotel had shut down and I was out of luck. I will say the hotel staff were incredibly friendly and sociable, but there were some shady characters staying at the hotel or hanging around it. The room itself was tiny. There are no standard rooms, each is unique because it's a small boutique hotel. I was put in a room where I could touch both walls with my arms wide. The bed was uncomfortable, the shower was in the bathroom (literally in it and all over it), and trash from the previous guest had not been thrown out. Overall, despite the friendly staff, I couldn't wait to get out of Utrecht.

prima ondanks renovatie

Drie 3-persoonskamers geboekt en 2 goede kamers gekregen en 1 hele luxe Japanse kamer waar 5 personen heel ruim kunnen slapen. Erg vriendelijk personeel en, met de bushalte voor de deur, voor ons top. Ruim voldoende ontbijtbuffet, wat goed werd aangevuld. En het zal alleen maar beter worden want er wordt hard gewerkt om de kamers op te knappen.

Absolutely brilliant!!

This hotel is just a short, straight walk to the city centre, located a shorter walk to the Old City, and had a great room at a great price. The bed was really comfortable, and a nice breakfast in the morning too. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Couldn't recommend highly enough, will definitely stay again next time I come to Utrecht.

tolles Ambiente, sehr schöne Lage

Ich habe mich wieder sehr wohl gefühlt in Ihrem schönen, sauberen, gepflegten Zimmer, dem leckeren Frühstücksbuffet, auf der Frühstücks-Terrasse am See mit Blick in die Natur, danke für die Parkmöglichkeit direkt am Hotel. Wir haben zur Innenstadt dann den Bus genommen, und das Taxi beim nächsten Besuch. Der sehr nette Empfang und Bedienung vermitteln gleich ein Willkommens-Gefühl! Ich freue mich auf die nächsten Übernachtungen bei Ihnen.

Irgendwie noch nicht Fertig

Das Hotel war an den besagten Adresse nur unser Zimmer war in einem anderem Gebäude dazu musste man aus dem Hotel raus und um die Ecke gehen, was uns schon verwunderte, dann ging man durch einen Flur wo Putzmittel und Baustellen-Utensilien rumstanden Aschbecher mit Zigratten und der gleichen. Alles wirkte ein wenig als ob noch nicht alle Umbaumassnahmen Fertig seien, das Zimmer war auf den ersten Blick ok. Leider war der TV nur Dekoration und nicht zur Benutzung, unter den Betten war eine Staubschicht die gut 0,5 cm Hoch war, als wir am 2ten Tag ins Zimmer kamen fand ich ein langes schwarzes Haar auf dem Boden, was nicht von uns sein konnte. Im ganzen waren wir leider sehr unzufrieden mit dem komfort. Unser Kollege der im Hauptteil des Hotels gewohnt war zufreiden. Wir hoffen das bei unserem nächten Besuch alle Umbaumassnahmen abgeschlossen sind.
