Close to University of Pittsburgh

Great location for visit to University of Pittsburgh (15 minute walk). Friendly staff, free parking and just off Parkway a plus. Room, especially bath room outdated but still comfortable.

Disappointing

Posted 15-Jul-2017
Pros: Location and Panera Bread onsite
Cons: It must be completely remodeled.
Location: It is a great location and a shame that it is not fully utilized. CMU, Uni of Pittsburgh, and Schenley park are all within 1 mile
This hotel needs major renovation. Everything inside is crumbling. Owner - invest if you want to continue receiving guests.

You get what you pay for...

Hotel is located about 1 mile away from University. I did not feel safe and could hear the loud traffic and people on the next door balconies. It was a quick sleep shower and get out of there. I would not stay here again. The room had a terrible odor.

Great hotel at convenient location.

Posted 26-Jun-2017
Pros: 1. Great location. 2. Great staff. 3. Reasonable price. 4. Panera bread in the same building.
Location: U Pitt and CMU are near by.
This is the second time that we stayed at this hotel. It's conveniently located close to U Pitt. They have an hourly shuttle to nearby locations. The staffs are extremely polite and helpful.

The price is reasonable, the staff was great. I had a balcony and everything was as expected. Nothing over the top, but everything was what I would expect for the price. I'll stay here when I'm in Oakland.

Don't stay here, why is it on Expedia

Posted 15-May-2017
Long story short, work place, staff is extremely rude, everything is broken, it's unsafe, we checked in got food came back and our balcony door was broken and they didn't want to refund us, and ended up ruining our whole trip and charging me like three times. Expedia didn't help us at all either when we called. We ended up just going to crown plaza do I had to pay for that also and it was even cheaper and extremely nice and nice staff. I have paid $1100 on both hotel because Expedia charged me twice and quality in charged me three times and crown charged me once. You guys made my whole trip horrible I ended up just going back to Toronto

Good.

Overall good. Everything was neat and taken care of. You could tell there was aging, especially in the bathroom, but still it was clean and worked fine. Didn't like that the balcony door seemed broken, didn't close properly and made me feel a little unsafe. Also did not like that the wifi was open with no login.

Thin walls

Room next to us was quite noisy. Not the fault of the hotel, but the walls are thin.
