The Pushkin Hotel is near restaurants and within walking distance of Red Square. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the cleanliness is good. The breakfast may be unusual for non-Eastern Europeans, but we had cereal, bread or toast, ham, cheese, fruit, and good coffee and tea, so there was always something we were used to.The hotel restaurant also serves a good selection. The salmon with spinach is nice! As is the Russian wine. Some taxi drivers have a problem finding the hotel, but the traffic is usually mad so they have an excuse. All in all, a good experience.
This hotel was very good. The restaraunt served great Russian food. It is about a 15-20 minute walk to Red Square on a quiet street. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall I recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.

"Fantastic New Year stay at Intercontinental Moscow"
I stayed here for the second time in 2015 to celebrate the New Year in Moscow. This hotel is just great, the staff are very helpful and courteous at all times, the location is great for transportation and local amenities too. The highlight this time was the New Year party and dinner! The staff in the restaurant just kept bringing us food so we didn't even realise it's a buffet. And the champagne flowed constantly from 9PM till 3:30AM, with just a break in the middle for us to dash to Red Square and catch the fireworks. It was just fantastic.
It was a great pleasure to stay in this hotel. Location is just what I was looking for, all the way down the street you can walk to red square and if you prefer subway - it's right across the street. The train station is also walking distance - that was very convenient for us to go other cities and go to airports as well.
Upmarket area of Moscow centred around the bustling Pushkinskaya, where a statue of the poet Alexander Pushkin overlooks the square filled with benches, flowerbeds, and fountains. Tverskaya Street offers exclusive shopping, as well as being a central part of Moscow’s nightlife. The area is also home to the Tverskoy Boulevard, lined with museums, theatres. and galleries.
