Romantic Escape

Posted 31-Jan-2017
Pros: It was so unique. Great breakfast at the Maxwell.
Cons: The noise level was notable, but it was on the website and it was not a surprise. But it was notable.
Location: We had tickets to an event at the BOK center and we dined on Cherry Street. All was very close to this location.
We had a great "get away weekend" at the Campbell. Our room was quaint, beautiful and a great escape. There was a lot of noise due to a well attended fund raiser event in the ball room. It did not deter from our attempt to get away and the noise was gone by the time we were ready to sleep. The hotel staff was excellent and our experience fabulous.

Historic, original and fabulous

The rooms are fabulous, I stayed in two different rooms during my stay, and this was by choice. I wanted to experience the different themes. The staff was so awesome and Maxxwell's staff was great, so was the good. Try the meatloaf!

Close to Wedding Venue

Posted 19-Nov-2016
Pros: The atmosphere and location across the street from the University of Tulsa. It was a great boutique hotel and loved the turn of the century look.
I felt the staff was excellent, Joseph was friendly and very informative and attentive to our needs. The banquet hall suited the needs for our daughter's wedding.

Clean, but noisy

Posted 16-Oct-2016 on Hotels
The room was very clean, and I am super picky about that. I did step on a piece of glass that was embedded in a very long haired rug, but I was hurt and everything thing else was spotless. The bed was okay, not the most comfortable thing in the world, but I slept fine. The neighborhood was a little sketchy. We saw a couple of policemen lurking at a couple of different businesses and some wanted signs posted on an antique show window. The hotel was very noisy. The doors to the room have 1/2 gaps at the bottom and as a result, we could hear every detail of the intimate escapades of our neighbors. Also, when housekeeping started working in the morning, we could hear their carts, radios, and conversations very clearly. The staff was absolutely wonderful. Very kind and personable. Overall, not a terrible place, but definitely not worth the $180 for the room.
