Wonderful restored hotel

Posted 10-Feb-2017 on Orbitz
Pros: Small and comfortable, artsy rooms, free parking
Cons: More options in the fitness room.
Location: Near the University of Tulsa, short distance from downtown and main Tulsa attractions.
I love this restored hotel along Route 66 in Tulsa. I try to stay there (if they have available rooms) whenever I visit my son at the University of Tulsa. It has begun to feel like a home away from home.

Romantic Escape

Posted 31-Jan-2017
Pros: It was so unique. Great breakfast at the Maxwell.
Cons: The noise level was notable, but it was on the website and it was not a surprise. But it was notable.
Location: We had tickets to an event at the BOK center and we dined on Cherry Street. All was very close to this location.
We had a great "get away weekend" at the Campbell. Our room was quaint, beautiful and a great escape. There was a lot of noise due to a well attended fund raiser event in the ball room. It did not deter from our attempt to get away and the noise was gone by the time we were ready to sleep. The hotel staff was excellent and our experience fabulous.

Always a great venue. However, they may need to look at a new mattress for room 207.

Room for improvement.

Posted 22-Dec-2016 on Hotels
This room was overpriced for the $159 that Hotels.com charged me ($180+ after taxes). The dresser featured mirrored fronts on the drawers, two of which were cracked. The desk was tiny, so good luck to the businessman/woman. The WIFI worked.

This is a great hotel. The only issue we had was that the mattress was old and needed to be replaced. Both my wife and I almost rolled off the bed. I brought this to their attention and they said they would replace it. I believe them. The restaurant had a great breakfast, the rooms were quiet.

The mattress was old and bowed, one of the outlets didn't work, and the the bathroom faucet leaked. It was disappointing. The staff were all great though, especially at the Lounge. Oh, and the restaurant food was horrible. Overcooking steak is sacrilegious. Again, the wait staff were all great though.
