"We really enjoyed this hotel. It was an easy walk to many restaurants, chateaus and the Sunday Market along the river. Coming back from our outings felt like coming home to our own mini chateau. The room was very large and comfortable. The toilet was a long distance from the separate sink/shower but we found this to be the case in a few of the hotels we stayed at in France outside of Paris. There was no curtain on the bathroom window which made me a little uncomfortable, but that’s just me....

"A very beautiful and unique property. You definitely feel like you're in a fun experience here. It's built into the side of a cliff. We did have a teeny bit of trouble finding it as the property is behind a walls and a gate and so all of the pictures I have seen online you cannot see from the street, which could be difficult later at night, but when you get up to the blue gates you can see the name on the bell and buzz the owner and she's great about getting you in and showing you around. "We had a lovely couple of nights here. So quiet and relaxing, a true luxurious and romantic place. We had the lodge with the hot tub which had gorgeous views of the pond (number 17). Slight issue with horse flies when walking to and from the main area through the woods but they didn’t like insect repellent so that worked well. "Atmospheric Chateau but in need of a little upgrading. Staff were great and very helpful. Grounds were excellent to walk round. Breakfast was quite reasonable but dinner was poor value. Definitely plan on eating out. Rooms were huge but our bathroom had only a bath with no shower which given how big it was seemed a little strange.
