The Space:  
Mountview Getaway by Tiny Away is just a 30-minute drive from Townsville City. The tiny house has plenty of open grassy space—great for relaxing, playing, or soaking up the fresh air. On top of that, we are close to the coast and near local attractions like Castle Hill Lookout and Billabong Sanctuary. You’re also not far from Little Crystal Creek and Paluma Range National Park.  
  
A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower—making it a perfect choice among relaxing holiday homes.  
  
Guest Access:  
Guests can access the tiny home and surrounding areas. The farm stay area is about 20 acres with outdoor dining areas, swings, and dog day pens.  
  
The Neighborhood:  
Mountview Getaway by Tiny Away is located in Toonpan, just 30 minutes from Townsville City. This tiny house offers a mix of rugged bushland and the lively coastal vibe of Townsville. It’s a great base for exploring coral reefs and the peaceful forests of Paluma Range National Park. You’ll get the best of both the outback and the tropics in one place.  
  
Nearby local spots include Jourama Falls in Paluma Range National Park, offering a peaceful hike, and Little Crystal Creek, known for its clear water and scenic waterfalls. Billabong Sanctuary provides one of Australia’s best hands-on wildlife experiences. Castle Hill Lookout, perched on a pink granite rock in Townsville, offers stunning views. Paluma Range also leads into the cooler mountain air of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area, with highlights like McClellands Lookout.  
  
Getting Around:  
By car:  
  
\- From Townsville city center, it's approximately a 30-minute drive.  
\- Once you pass the locality of Cluden, continue on the highway until you reach Toonpan. The area is directly accessible from the main road.  
\- The route is suitable for any 2-wheel and 4-wheel drive vehicle. If exploring more rural or undeveloped areas around Toonpan, a 4-wheel drive may be necessary, especially in wet conditions.  
  
By public transport:  
  
\- There are no direct train services to Toonpan. The closest major transport hub is Townsville.  
\- From Townsville, you can use local bus services or taxi/ride-sharing options to reach Toonpan.  
\- The journey by bus or taxi typically takes about 30-40 minutes from the city center, depending on traffic conditions.  
  
Other Things to Note:  
\- Wifi is not available  
\- Gas BBQ Grill is available  
\- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed  
\- Smoking is allowed in certain areas on the property  
\- Expect limited connectivity as the tiny house is set in a rural locality  
\- Mobile is good for Telstra, Optus, and Vodafone; Weak signals for 2degrees and Spark  
\- Make sure to turn off the lights, AC, electronics, close windows and doors when leaving  
\- Firewood and guided tours are available upon request and are subject to an additional cost  
\- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge  
\- Pets are allowed by 24 hrs prior notice, and must be on leash at all times. The full policy will be sent before arrival.

\- Outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban  
\- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present in the surrounding areas  
\- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
