Lovely hotel in the heart of St Florence. Clean room with an excellent breakfast. The staff are wonderful and very knowledgeable about the area.

Refused our stay…lucky escape!
We booked through selecting 2 Adults and an under 1 year old & selected a room available to us. Out of courtesy I contacted the hotel to advise that we would be bringing our own travel cot to be bluntly and rudely told that we couldn’t have 3 people in the room. I was left aghast. Firstly I was taken back by the fact that when introducing myself as an up and coming guest I was received by silence! No greeting or welcome from this so called warm welcoming hotel! And then to be told that we couldn’t stay in the room we had booked because of our 6 month year old being classed as a third person with no attempt to rectify this challenge and harshly told that to take it up with I was left open mouthed and terribly upset. Every attempt to rectify was declined abruptly and any attempt to challenge her decision was met with ‘take it up with’! I was astounded by how little empathy, understanding and complete lack attempt to help salvage our stay from a front of house, customer facing individual! I called back to report the rudeness of the receptionist to be advised that she in fact was the Owner/Manager of the hotel! I took the opportunity to provide some feedback to how badly treated I felt only to be argued with and spoken to badly. I got the distinct impression that she disliked that we booked through Lucky escape as the customer service was shockingly bad so I doubt we would have enjoyed our stay! We’re still awaiting a refund from July!
