Great place to stay, leave your car at home.

Posted 29-Feb-2016 on Hotels
We loved the hotel, its location, and the quality of the bed. However the parking is absolute BS. The hotel provides you a Telluride street parking pass. That in itself is not that bad but there is not even a driveway to pull up into to unload luggage. Your best case senario is a 50 meter walk if you park illegally in a handicap spot to unload before searching for a spot in the street. Late arrival poses other challenges with parking as the property manager is off site. Especially if you want to spend the next morning skiing rather than chasing down parking passes. It's seems like the town of Telluride and its property managers could come up with a better system.

Rolling Solo in Telluride for a Ski Trip

Posted 14-Feb-2016
Pros: Very close Clean Great little breakfast area bed was comfy
Cons: no front desk directions upon arrival, might be my fault room access codes were clunky and cut me off too soon. I was stuck outside my room.
Location: GREAT location, 3 minutes away from Gondola. 3 blocks away from downtown
Guys trip to Telluride here are the highlights; 1. priced right comparatively 2. extremely convenient 3. accommodating if you're by yourself and just up for a quick 2-3 day snowboard / ski trip.

Excellent condo at the heart of Telluride

Posted 02-Nov-2015
Location: The museum, town park and recreation center (ice skating rink, swimming, skateboarding and children's play areas) and ski gondola are w/in walking.
We only needed accommodations for one night, this condo was the perfect answer. Two beds in the loft plus a sofabed on the main floor provided ample room for our family of 6; a reasonable amount of room (much more than a typical hotel suite) and two balconies - one on each level - made for a pleasant stay. If we had needed more time there, I am certain that we would have been just as comfortable for a longer stay, as well. The hot tub is a rustic wooden tub for comfortable seating of about 8-10 adults; thankfully, we were the only ones there at the time, however, so there was excess room to relax in the tub. And the tub-room overlooks the river for a nice bonus. The condos are only 3 blocks off of Colorado ("Main Street"), so everything was within walking distance for us - food, entertainment and galleries. Plus, the gondola is less than 2 blocks away. There is a nice walking trail which runs along the river and leads to the town park. There was no breakfast served while we were there (we did not expect any, either, but apparently some reviewers did) - but the breakfast room and kitchen are well-equipped, including an under-counter wine-chiller and any type of serving or cooking item that one might *need* while travelling (glasses, bowls and plates, disposable cups, carafe, pans, all in good repair). In the same room is a comfortable couch and there are several tables directly out the french doors for outdoor dining. We'll most definitely be staying at this property again!

Relaxing and comfortable

Great location and close to everything. Amazing sounds right on the stream. Right at the base of a hiking trail. Have to check in off site.

Convenient location, picturesque setting

Posted 09-Aug-2015
Pros: Location and rates.
Cons: Check~in was not ideal.
Location: Main Street, gondola and City Park are all close.
Check-in staff is not onsite, but the process was still pretty easy. Our room had a small sitting room and bathroom downstairs. The sleeping area was in a loft above. Certainly not a lot of extra floor space but it was comfortable and functional. Only two short blocks to the heart of Main Street or to the base of the gondola. No daily room service but we didn't need it anyway. Reasonable rates for Telluride. We would stay here again.

Inconvenient hotel next to the river.

Posted 05-Aug-2015
Pros: It was clean.
Cons: Accurate and truthful advertising.
Location: Mountain Village, a short ride on a free gondola is interesting and well laid out, however Telluride lacks the charm one would expect.
Never has a hotel been more misrepresented on Expedia. Free parking was advertised, however nothing was mentioned about parking being free in a 6 block square area (if you can find a spot). We were forced to carry all our bags to the room from 3 blocks away. Once in the room, we were faced with about 180 sq feet of useable space with a stairway leading up to the loft as part of it. No closet or any space to hang clothes. The sink was at the bottom of the stairs, not in the bathroom. A small love seat was situated across from the stairs, with a view of the stairs only. No comfortable seating space for drinks or conversation. For conversation, one sat on the stairs while one sat on the love seat. The picture of the space on line showed a kitchen area. The kitchen consisted of a coffee pot next to the love seat and a refrigerator under the stairs. You had to bend over and watch your head to access it. I definitely would never stay here again.

Best place to stay in Telluride

Posted 01-Apr-2015 on Hotels
This place is in an absolutely perfect location. The room is smaller than I expected, but you are only there to sleep. Speaking of, the bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. My next mattress purchase will be a memory foam one based upon this stay. The breakfast was appropriate for pre skiing activities but each day it seemed like they ran out of a new item but usually had an alternative option (toast, mini bagels, hard boiled eggs, cereal, mini muffins, coffee, milk, juice). The man that checked us in was quite cold to me and not very friendly, thats why I rated it less for hotel service. The old redwood hot tub looked a bit grimy but it was simply amazing, it was so cool to use such a hot tub, not to mention it was just perfect to fix those sore post skiing muscles.

Not for me

Posted 20-Feb-2015 on Hotels
probably nice for skiers but not for me. you have to check in at a building 1/2 mile away. parking is a cruel prank and TV reception was terrible. broken patio door, no housekeeping and no table or desk in the room. its a b&b so it would be OK if this was a leisure trip, and if you consider a granola bar as breakfast.
