4/5 Good

We had a nice stay.
The condo was perfect for our needs. Easily accommodated our early rising young kids in the downstairs which was like a separate studio with a door separate from upstairs bedrooms. Some minor issues such as garbage disposal makes a horrible noise and there is no external way to open the fireplace flew (that we could find?) So my husband hand to open it manually from the inside. I'd stay here again, it was clean, cozy, and met all out needs well. And close to ski valley so we could drop littles off for a nap and still enjoy an afternoon of skiing.

Comfortable Stay
Comfortable and clean. Sink in 2nd bedroom just trickled water but otherwise no complaints. Could use some updating but we expected that from the pics. For the price, this condo can't be beat. Great location! Only 8 miles up to Ski Valley, 5 min from Arroyo Seco and +/-15 min from Taos. From a fellow short term rental owner 4 thumbs up. We will be back during ski season. Thanks

4/5 Good

Overall, a good stay for enjoying Taos nature
We went to Taos to enjoy the mountains, scenery and river rafting. Taos didn't disappoint. The townhouse at Valdez is sturdily built and we felt safe and clean there. It's a solid place for the most part. We cooked and prepped most our meals at the townhouse so the kitchen had good basic functions for all that. I'll be honest, fortunately, upon our arrival, a maintenance man was working on the septic system. A neighboring occupant informed us that the septic wasn't draining. That explains why the toilet wouldn't flush and the slight swampy smell downstairs. We were very worried that we wouldn't be able to use the toilets and showers and kitchen sink. Within a few hours the problem was fixed—toilets, drains, and smell gone. I was a quite shaken and anxious with the prospect of looking for another place to stay for 4 people on short notice and with the prospects of corresponding with the property management about getting a refund. But problem solved, and I began to relax and settle down. Some items need fixing but we worked around them: the deck has a piece of wood sticking up that someone might trip on. The table lamp in a bedroom fell apart upon touching it. The cold water in one of the bathrooms is at a trickle. The detergent dispenser in the dishwasher doesn't open during the wash cycle. I saw other reviews mention some of these know what you can expect—if they're not fixed, you can still live with it. Otherwise hot and cold water worked well in the shower, other bathrooms and the kitchen. The oven and stove and microwave work great. The living room and dining room were enjoyable. We enjoyed hanging out on the balcony to enjoy stargazing in the evenings and wee hours of the morning—caught sight of the Milky Way, constellations, a handful of shooting stars and slow moving dots of satellites. We had a good stay there as our base for enjoying the nature activities at Taos.

2/5 Poor

Problems with water and pipes
The condo was clean overall but there were plumbing issues. The master bath sink would only put out very hot water. The panel that covered the pipes was missing. The water in the toilets and coming out of faucets and showers was brown- dirt or sediment was left in the bathtubs. We were not able to comfortably take showers and had to use bottled water to brush teeth. We were only there 3 nights but I did email the person we were told to contact with any problems and have not gotten a reply. I do not recommend this condo.
