Elevator was not in working order. First room assigned was not clean, refrigerator rancid smelling. Moved to another room - sheets were dirty - had to get more sheets and change them ourselves. Mattress on beds were very old and soft. It is very difficult to find anything good about this place! sorry

While the cost of the room was attractive

Posted 30-Mar-2016
Pros: Location.
Cons: A total rehab of the rooms and overall facility - new carpet, new furniture, new wall paint, a totally new and working elevator.
Location: Skiing.
given the outrageous fees other hotels in the area charge the conditions of the room and the overall facility were appalling. The elevator was out of service for over a week and this is a three story accomodation! No effort was made on the part of management to reimburse some of the room fee because of the major inconvenience. The "breakfast" was beyond terrible - only cheap high sugar carbs with a yogurt or unpeelable pouched egg thrown in.

Place was inadequate

Posted 27-Mar-2016
We had a full kitchen with no silverware, no pots, pans, or utensil. There was no dishwasher soap, no dish rag, no dish towels and no hot pads. Also two knobs on the stove were missing. When we talked to the manager he stated they must have been stolen and he would provide us with new but never did. There was not even a toaster. The jacuzzi jets were broken and one of the pool area lights was burned out making the room dark and dingy.

Last minute stay in Silverthorne

Posted 26-Mar-2016
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: update furniture, get new towels, replace the carpets, provide a neutral smell in the hotel and room
Location: Hotel is located right off the highway which is very convenient. Close to fast food and town.
Booked a night for myself and my 2 children. Relative to other lodging in Silverthorne at this time of year, the room was inexpensive (more than $150 though!). The cost of the nights lodging did not match my expectations of the hotel room and facilities. The front desk person was nice and quickly got us checked in. The room was well below my expectations. The room had a musty, moldy, smokey smell. The furnishing were ancient and tired. The bathroom was basic and barely clean enough to use. The towels had stains on them. We had no choice but to stay and none of us slept well. We left the first thing in the morning. We skipped the complementary breakfast and didn't venture to the pool. Based on the cleanliness of our room, I can't imaging what the pool was like. I'll never stay here again.

The 1990s called they want their motel back!

Posted 22-Mar-2016
The sink was clogged. The breakfast is not very good. The bath door had a hoke in it. The shower walls had a crack. The heater had no thermostat just a fan. So, if you turned on the fan it never went off and the noise would keep you up. The room's walls were paper thin and you heard all doors closing in the hallway and hallway above. You could also hear the person walk around in the room above you. Impossible to get any sleep.

Cheap all the way

Posted 21-Mar-2016
Pros: The staff was very nice. That's the high point for this hotel.
Cons: Clearly needs to be updated.
I was very disappointed that this Days Inn was not in a better shape. We just needed a last-minute place to go skiing for the week-end but this place is in disarray. Paper-thin walls, horrible beds, mildewed shower. We had to call the cleaning people to change the bed of both beds because there was a wet spot on one and brown spots on the other one. Not going there ever again.

Thin walls, too many people getting high.

This hotel has very thin walls and floors. Additionally several people on the same floor kept getting high so the whole place smelled like pot.

Ok but not wonderful

Posted 08-Mar-2016
Pros: Location to highway was easy, but some highway noise.
Cons: Furnishings need to be changed out. Looks old.
Location: Outlets are close and restaurant was within walking distance.
The original room assigned was not cleaned when we got there at 5pm. Got another room with broken pull out bed and broken chair. Evening clerk was nice and helpful.
