Frozen room, frozen beds.

Posted 08-Feb-2016
Pros: Clean, decent breakfast.
Cons: Heat the rooms before guests arrive.
Nice enough hotel, if the room were heated before guests arrived. We arrived around 9 PM, with kids, to sleep and hit the slopes early next day. The room was frozen, the heat was off, and I checked with reception - they think this is normal. The heat pump, once turned on, heats the air quickly enough, but beds stayed frozen for 2-3 hours, and the bathroom was warm by the morning. So unless you have a few hours before bed time, I don't recommend staying in Silverthorne Days Inn in winter time.

A one star hotel with 5 star pricing

Posted 04-Feb-2016
Cons: Overview of the operation and new management. Price it for what it is--one star facility
Location: It's proximity to I 70 is bad. Located in Summit County, CO there are plenty activities are available
Dillon, CO, Days Inn was a huge disappointment. Located next to I-70 there was constant road noise. I found dog kibble on the carpet. I either had to ask for the room coffee to be replenished or help my self to it from the housekeeping . Coffee pot and grounds were never cleaned up. Housekeeping didn't even show one day. In the eight days I stayed the hall carpet was vacuumed once, the elevator was never swept or washed. Lights were out on outside signage. Also, an odd collection of unused excavating equipment, trailers and statuary in the parking lot. I wouldn't go back there and do not recommend it at all!

Dirty Tired Hotel

Posted 02-Feb-2016
Pros: Close to restraunts.
Cons: Scrape it and build something new.
Location: Ski
First off there were crumbs on the floor in the kitchen. Old coffee in the coffee Maker from last guest. Paint on the floor and door jams. Trash on the balcony from last visitor. Just terrible. I will never stay there again and will make sure others know about it. I travel about 150 nights per year so I really know what I'm talking about. At 200 + per night this was a total ripoff.

Housekeeping staff was absent this visit

Posted 30-Dec-2015
Pros: Not much
Cons: New housekeeping staff.
Location: Near the Interstate and Silverthorne Outlet Mall.
Selected this hotel due to easy access and location near the Loveland Valley and Basin ski slopes and Outlet stores. First room we checked in to had dirty, dirty sheets on the two queen beds and blue/green liquid foreign matter on the telephone. Second room was a hotel "upgrade" meaning the room was slightly larger and faced the Interstate versus the dirt pile. Second room had dried, dark liquid runs along the walls (looked like chocolate or dried blood) in the bathroom area. Pool was only 2' deep (picture looks a lot better than the actual). Hot tub was a good size but not as clean as should be - sand and plastic objects were found in the hot tub.

This hotel was a nice, can use a little touching up here and there. The continental breakfast has many options, cold cereal, oatmeal, waffle maker and the rest of the basics.

Location and reasonable rate.

Posted 07-Dec-2015
OK if all you're looking for is a place to sleep relatively close to a few ski resorts (eg Breck and Keystone) and don't expect much so you're not disappointed. Typical dated accommodations, scratchy towels, noisy wall heater, poor continental breakfast. Heat was not turned on in our room so we had cold beds and it took a coupe hours for the room to reach a comfortable temperature. However there was hot water and the mattresses were reasonably comfortable. Confirms the saying that you get what you pay for and it was one of the cheapest rates on Expedia.
