the place to stay if you are in frisco for ski

Posted 21-May-2016
a last minute booking. turned out to be quite ok. close to all stores ski places. next to hiking spots. the staff was a bit clueless. the elevator and corridor were a bit dirty. rooms were clean. the outside doors for the hotel did not have locks. they were towing cars for visitors in the night so better make sure they know you are staying there

Mountain stopover

Posted 15-Apr-2016
Pros: Location proximate to I-70, restaurant, and grocery.
Cons: New mattress. The one I slept on was old and uncomfortable.
Location: Great location among the ski areas in Summit County. Proximate to Silverthorne factory stores, downtown Frisco, etc.
Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Location off I-70 was extremely convenient. There is one restaurant within walking distance, the Rio Grande, which is awesome. Whole Foods is also within walking distance. The only complaint that I have is that the bed was very uncomfortable, which, is a big issue since that is why you stay at a hotel! It was a very soft bed, and appeared to be pretty old and saggy. After a night of not sleeping well, I had back pain for the day. I hope the hotel is changing out their mattresses. If they are, I would recommend this place.

Was okay for one night...but pushed it

Posted 13-Apr-2016
Pros: Enough room for my 5 person family
Cons: Everything
Location: Silverthorne is close for shopping the outlets!
Room had someone's leftover dirty clothes under the bed. Pool was over chlorinated and burned my children's eyes. Breakfast was alright, except if you are going to provide gravy it should be warm. The staff at the front desk appeared annoyed to have to help me. The F word came out of the office during my morning check out. The remote for the TV barely worked. Why have a PS3 in a room if the kids cannot use it?

Great breakfast!!

Posted 04-Apr-2016
It is not much when you pull up, right off the highway easy to find. The room was huge and had a little fridge and microwave. It was outdated but still clean. It looked as if the owner or staff or both possibly lived in side the rooms when no guests were occupying the room. The doors would be proped open with what appears to be cleaning carts (Safeway carts) filled with hotel supplies. They would be watching t.v. on the bed for hours/days...very strange however not a big deal. The hot tube flooded because of too many guests, and there never was towels all three times we went to the pool...luckily I have kids so I brought extra just in case. The best part was the free breakfast!!! So good, make your own waffle station, hot options that were different everyday and constantly adding hot fresh food. Really enjoyed that before skiing, hot oatmeal, yogarts, pastry, lots of options. All in all a decent experience, rooms were clean, the breakfast took it to another level...

Pros: Location is great
We stayed to here to be close to skiing at Copper. The mountain is just up I-70. The hotel is fine. Its not fancy but works for a night or two for the family ski getaway.

Great for the price and location.

Posted 26-Mar-2016
Pros: Location.
Cons: Update and clean up common areas.
Location: Plenty to do nearby in Frisco, Silverthorn and Breckenridge.
Older hotel that gets a lot of traffic. Pet friendly. BE SURE TO CONFIRM DIRECTLY WITH THE HOTEL. We had to argue our way in after they said they had no more pet rooms. Easy access to and from I-70 and up to slopes in Breckenridge. Great restaurants and grocery stores are walking distance or short drive. Included breakfast is average. Kids enjoyed pool. I enjoyed jacuzzi. Excellent choice for a family on a budget.

Pros: Breakfast was the only good thing
Cons: just about everything
Location: The location was good.
Rude staff, room not vacuumed, dirty underwear from previous guest, dirty sheets. It was the worst place I have ever stayed.

Comfortable, convenient, hotel near ski areas

Posted 23-Mar-2016
We found our room spacious, clean and very comfortable for our four day stay. The hotel has a great Vietnamese restaurant in it, which we enjoyed after long days of skiing. Staff was very friendly and helped us with local information whenever requested. This hotel is located very conveniently directly off Highway 70 and near numerous options for food and shopping. A great place to stay to have access to all Summit County ski resorts
