"Room was large and clean, bed comfortable. Lots of glasses and room service trays in all the corridors. Hotel desperately needs refurbishing, no atmosphere or style to the place. Shame as a waste of a potentially beautiful building "

"We were really disappointed on arrival as the hotel was covered in scaffolding and the entrance looked much more like a 1970s multi-storey carpark than a 4* hotel. The stairs (the lift was out of order), reception area and room were very dated. The soundproofing in the bathroom was non-existent (my wife could hear everything next door). Having said that the beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok."

"Nice hotel conveniently located within walking distance of all local attractions. Good points: wheelchair accessible, spacious and clean rooms, good shower, plenty of breakfast choices, and amazing fish and chips! One thing to note when parking, don't use the app as its cheaper to pay the hotel at the end. This wasn't mentioned during check in so we ended up paying £10 more for the 2 days. "

"We had the most wonderful stay, everyone was kind and welcoming, the room was a delight, the service was excellent. My only small sadness was that they have removed their vegetarian breakfast from the menu, which meant we sadly were not able to enjoy breakfast there during our stay, but it wouldn’t stop me going back as there were plenty of other options around. Also there is no parking and the long stay places closest are very expensive. We simply parked further away and walked as we didn’t...
