"We were really disappointed on arrival as the hotel was covered in scaffolding and the entrance looked much more like a 1970s multi-storey carpark than a 4* hotel. The stairs (the lift was out of order), reception area and room were very dated. The soundproofing in the bathroom was non-existent (my wife could hear everything next door). Having said that the beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok."

"Stayed for 1 night in August. Lack of receptionist on arrival let it down. People arrived an hour before us and were still waiting for someone to arrive and book them in. Cleaning staff came down and got us sorted. They could not do enough for us and were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. Comfortable en suite rooms and plenty of parking. The hotel is fairly basic and only offer a continental breakfast in a bag. It would probably benefit by at least offering a cooked...

Malmaison Birmingham

10/10 Excellent

"It’s attached to the Mailbox Birmingham, including the parking beneath, so makes it convenient when driving there and close to almost everything great with the Birmingham city centre. Great service by the warm and friendly staff and liked that there was outdoor seating (limited) at the front with a view to some of the city. Great for that ice cold pint of beer!! :-) If and when I’m back in Birmingham, probably my first choice or among my preferred choices. Ah, Malmaison are also a pet friendly establishment too, if this helps. "
