I stayed here with my 8 year old grandson. We were comfortable and felt safe. I was concerned before I got there about feeling safe. The treehouse is up the hill from the office and the owners live there by the office and work hard at keeping the property safe and well groomed. The property was clean and we enjoyed our stay. The beds were very comfortable.
Very casual about check in they live next to the main Office and have kids so may be next door. Just key the radio on counter. We got there early and were given a good fishing place to try out before we came back. The last day we got directions to a local lake that is a short walk down a logging road. Like having a whole valley with a lake in the middle to yourself. We didn’t see a soul the whole time and it’s a good size lake. The description about out being off grid is dead on, 12 bolt lights and grill are provided . Tree house was neat and clean and in very good condition. Like a nice rustic cabin up in a tree. Grounds have some exploring to do if need be, a tower and vista view a short hike up the hill behind you. Great spot and very nice folks run it.
Fabulous stay. Took my adult daughter and her two dogs out for a quick overnight adventure. Loved staying in the treehouse (birdie). Perfect size, location on property was good (away from other structures) and had picnic table, potbelly stove, grill, and out house right near the treehouse. They supplied bedding, camp chairs, and even a small battery powered fan. They also offered and we accepted ATV transport of our things from our parking spot to the treehouse. Did a local mountain hike recommended by owner in the afternoon, and then did the hike to the tower on their property the next morning. Hike to the tower, and subsequent climb up the tower is definitely a must. Hoping to be able to go back in the fall!
Awesome spot! Treehouse was amazing and perfect for us 2 nature lovers. Hike to the tower was great way to relax after the drive up. Very unique and private location. Our dogs had a blast wrestling around in the woods around cabin and met a few dusk golfers as well. The course is a bit closer than we expected but did not impact our stay much. The battery/solar powered lights saved our lanterns and we felt alone on the side of the mountain. Excellent hosts as well, very laid back and Human acting. Highly recommend to those who love primitive camping but enjoy a comfy bed. Description could include a bit more about zero kitchen facility etc so others know what to expect but just ask and they’ll lyk! Def bring bug spray and sturdy shoes to enjoy epic views of the surrounding lakes and ridges. Will def stay again, maybe try the A-frame next! Thanks Carrie!
