Lovely rooms above a pub, not noisy but we were on the 3rd floor. Clean and had all the trimmings. Pub was friendly too!

I’m really glad I found this place, especially when I ended up having to book a 2nd night. The bar area looks newly refurnished and nicely done. Same with the bedroom, really clean and comfortable with fresh carpets and en suite, and nice decor. The staff were friendly. But the best surprise was the food. Really well presented, well cooked and interesting ideas. I’ve spent the past 3 months travelling between 3 UK counties and this is the most consistently lovely food I’ve had. (Chicken chorizo burger, then squash gnocchi and finally the smoked trout bagel). I’m not local and rarely bother writing reviews, but if I can recommend anywhere to stop for a bite to eat in Southampton it would be here. I think they’ve put real thought into the place and deserve a 5 star review
