We spent a couple of days here and had mixed weather, but that could not detract from the pleasure of looking at the views from our balcony. The setting is stunning and one of the best we have experienced. The villa is set on the slopes of a valley and has a great design with all rooms having an uninterrupted view of the countryside. You really need a car for your stay here, otherwise you will waste a lot of time using public transport.
The villa has a very pleasant rustic feel with a large central lounge and open kitchen area - you can use this as long as you pay 15USD per day, if I remember correctly. Our room was very large and had a balcony with a fridge on it. Some aspects are in need of attention, such as the wooden flooring in our room. Also, the swimming pool was out of commission.
The owners, Julian and Sandra, are delightful people and looked after us very well. Darren cooked our food and helped us plan our daily itinerary. We had a good meal there in the evening - didn't fancy negotiating the poor mountain roads at night. Evening meals are 30USD per person, beers 4USD. 15% is added to your final bill for service. Overall, expensive, but you are paying for the location.
