The Swans Nest Hotel

The Swans Nest Hotel

8/10 Good
"Fabulous location right next to the river and very close to the theatre. We had a suite in the old building which was very comfortable and spacious. A good choice. Breakfast and food in the pub were average and a bit disappointing. Staff all friendly and helpful. Parking on site which is ideal."

"Great historic inn modernized beautifully. Delicious English breakfast. Wonderful staff. A/C didn’t really work in the room, which made sleeping a tad problematic, but overall we enjoyed the stay!"

The Queens Head

The Queens Head

8/10 Good
"The Queen's Head is small, comfortable, good value, and convenient to local sights, but it's fairly basic inn-style accommodation above a lively pub. Staff are friendly and helpful, but they are mostly pub staff. The bar across the street is noisy in the evenings (some wonderfully bad karaoke), which some guests may find disruptive. Its main virtue is that it is cheap, clean and convenient."
