Ideal accommodation

Great host , ideal central location with parking. Good breakfast with ample choices. Comfortable bed and tea/coffee facilities in room. Only issue we had was that shower was a bit awkward to get temperature right. Would definitely stay again.

Very comfortable, relaxing and good breakfast 😋

Had a nice and relaxing stay. Great location and the Host 'Tim' was very welcoming and friendly throughout my stay. Enjoyed the breakfast and nice coffee! Set me up for my day and mini adventure around Stratford Upon Avon. Recommend the Virginia hotel. Hope to stay again.

Ideally located within easy walking distance to town centre. The property had shared parking with other houses on the terrace. The room was big enough with en suite bathroom and nice decor. Very clean and tidy. Tea and coffee making facilities as well as a haird dryer. The landlord was very pleasant and helpful. Full English breakfast was included.

Close to town centre, parking was tight but kept the car safe and away from the main road. The room was very clean, bed pillows etc really comfortable. Shower and bathroom clean. Breakfast was ok and we enjoyed our stay - thank you Tim and Kate.

Booked Virginia lodge for myself, my daughter and my mum for a short break. My daughter has a severe allergy to nuts and Tim went above and beyond to ensure there were no nuts in the dining room. This was a huge relief and made our stay perfect. He also knew my mum was elderly and suffers from dementia so kindly offered us a room on a lower floor and has even put us an extra bed in the room so we could all be together. Honestly cannot fault our stay. We will be returning to stay here again. Highly recommend. Thank you all at Virginia lodge xx

Great location and free parking

Lovely little b&b , comfortable beds , lovely breakfast and wonderful host . Great location , just a 5 minute walk into the centre, and the bonus of free parking behind the property. Would highly recommend a stay here .

Um hotel simples mas confortável

Uma casa modificada para atender de hotel. Muito bonita e bem cuidada. Junto com a chave do quarto vem a da porta. Fomos recebidos pelo proprietário, que muito simpaticamente nos atendeu, ajudou com a bagagem e nos mostrou as principais atrações da cidade. Ele mesmo prepara o café, dentre algumas opções disponíveis. Estava gostoso e caseiro, não espere um buffet. O quarto simples, mas arrumado e com uma boa cama, inclusive para minha filha. Como ficamos no segundo andar, as escadas pegaram, muito estreitas. Se soubessebteria subido somente com uma muda de roupa e deixado o resto no carro. O banheiro é uma adaptação do sótão, o que não se põe muito confortável. O banho, com chuveiro elétrico é bom mas o box muito apertado. Foi um bom custo benefício… voltaríamos.

Very pleased with accommodation bedroom and ensuite very clean and comfortable. We had breakfast as part of our stay excellent breakfast included in price. Would definitely recommend staying at Virginia Lodge and would use again. Parking also included in price.

Perfect place for a short stay. Close to centre

A lovely 2 night stay with friends. Very welcoming host who was also very helpful. Thank you Tim for your hospitality. Good breakfast, tea and coffee in rooms. Small room but very comfortable with a nice window seat, and everything we needed. Perfectly located for Stratford-upon-Avon centre.

No internet

No Internet signal at all in my room, also when I tried in the bar I couldn't obtain a signal there. I Informed reception, who put me on the telephone to Tech support, which quiet frankly was a waste of time. With them saying too many people must be on the internet !!!! End of conversation and still no internet Nice courteous staff. Very clean hotel.

I didn’t much enjoy my stay here. The television was not properly set up and the proprietor had to come the next day and tune all the channels. The property had a strong paint odour and the room had a strange odour. The room was not properly clean. They were quite stingy with the little coffee milks. That was frustrating given that I wasn’t taking the breakfast included in the price of room. Also, instead of being shown straight to my room upon arrival after a huge journey, I was kept in the hallway by the proprietor who fired lots of questions at me like an interrogation. Also, the toilet made so much noise like a roaring engine. Over £50 per night did not feel like good value for money. I had previously stayed at The Penryn Guest House, which was cheaper and so much better. Virginia Lodge was closer to work, which is why I decided to give it a shot. I regretted that and would have happily walked the extra 15 mins. I was so relieved to be out on the Friday morning.
