"Airport stay"
We arrived about 7pm on a cold January night, sadly the room was very cold and took all night to warm up. This was disappointing given the room was otherwise very comfortable.

"value for money!"
Stayed one night with my wife and son. Very polite and friendly staff, clean room and hotel. I paid £44 for breakfast, parking and a family room. Value for money! Overall 4-star because someone closed a door with a big bang twice next to my room in the early hours of morning, which could have been easily avoided.

"Close to the airport"
We had a one night stay when going to a family celebration. The staff were very welcoming on our arrival and the check in was easy and straight forward. Our room was clean and well appointed with a very comfortable bed but there was only one easy chair and the other one was like a dining chair. We would have appreciated two easy chairs. The reception area was very comfortable and it was much appreciated that we could have a drink while waiting for our other family members to arrive at the hotel. They had requested a large room with a cot for their 6 month old baby boy - all their requests had been followed through. We only ate breakfast in the hotel but it was lovely. You could have as little or as much as you wanted and the minute you sat down the staff were at your table asking if you would like tea or coffee. We had a very pleasurable stay and would definitely book to stay at this hotel again

"A quaint hotel without elevator or AC. "
The food is very good. The staff very pleasant and attentive. Windows open so rooms can be cooled off in winter if too hot. Lack of AC (air conditioning) indicates it's not so easy to cool down in summer. The owner(s) should spend some money on renovations / upgrades. Although quite common in Europe, the lack of face / wash cloths / flannels is a pain. We were going to a midday wedding but the chambermaid had to clean our room on her schedule and couldn't come back later. Our working around her was a little inconvenient. This is a good, provincial, local village hotel that's quaint but has some limitations and as is, has an air of being a little tired in places. Rooms were clean, reasonably equipped and comfortable enough.

"Lovely hotel"
Really nice hotel, unfortunately it was rather noisy on the first night of our stay as there was a wedding being held there and people were coming and going until early hours of the morning. The rooms are very nice and clean. We booked a twin room but were given a double bed and a sofa bed.

"Wonderful stay in Kegworth"
The hotel is located in Kegworth, which is a few minutes away from East Midlands Airport as well as the University of Nottingham Sutton-Bonnington campus. The hotel goes above and beyond to provide the best service to its guests, especially in the mornings with the abundant free breakfast options available. The staff member who supervised during the mornings of my stay was very kind and also a very good cook. Absolutely enjoyed my scrambled eggs with salmon. He even offered to wrap some breakfast items when I had to rush out the morning I left the hotel. The hotel room itself is absolutely beautiful. Only pictures can describe what I can't put into words.

    Pocket Guide: Nottingham EMA Hotels

East Midlands Airport is nestled in Leicestershire, lying between Derby, Leicester and Nottingham. It is the UK’s 11th busiest airport and offers not only international and domestic flights, but a whole range of services including fine dining and accommodation. Travellers have an excellent choice of hotel options in the immediate vicinity of the airport, and much more in the towns and villages further afield.

    Where is EMA?

EMA is situated close to the market town of Castle Donington. The town is named after a 13th century castle which has since been demolished, but the ancient church and Tudor houses provide a grand link to the past. If you’re looking for vibrant, family-run bed & breakfast accommodation, this makes a great spot to base yourself. For something more upmarket and palatial, head into Nottingham or Derby for the full array of five-star luxury accommodation.

    The Best Hotels in EMA

Whether you’re travelling to EMA for business or pleasure, there is a vast range of hotel accommodation to choose from, both at the airport complex itself and in the surrounding towns, which are easy to reach by road and rail. Many travellers prefer being based in the countryside and Castle Donington is a great place to stay, with B&Bs and small guesthouses providing all your needs at a reasonable price. The other option is to head for a grand hotel in Nottingham or Leicester. Many of these date back a couple of centuries, and are well-honed when it comes to providing top quality facilities and services.

    The Good Life at EMA

Wining and dining in the Midlands is a real treat. The regional cuisine in this part of the UK is renowned for its freshness and variety. Hotels in and around the airport have exceptionally high standards when it comes to dining, and place the emphasis squarely on seasonal food. There are also many excellent restaurants close by, and eateries that source their ingredients from local farmer’s markets.

Great Days out and About When You Stay at an EMA Hotel

While staying in this part of the country, don’t miss out on some of the local attractions. There are countless picnic and boating areas along the banks of the River Trent, and Donington Park Racetrack (with its famous Grand Prix circuit, which is also home to the annual Download music festival) is also close by. Here, you’ll find the largest collection of Grand Prix cars in existence easily accessible when you’re based in one of the many hotels, or guesthouses in this attractive part of the Midlands.

In fact, part of the pleasure of arriving at EMA is that you’ll be able to stay everywhere from a spa resort or boutique hotel to a humble B&B. At the same time, you’ll also have quick and easy access to some of the traditional surrounding villages and historic cities, such as Nottingham and Leicester. This truly is a cross-section of English culture and landscape, all right on your doorstep when you stay at a hotel in East Midlands Airport.
