Excellent customer service and facilities. Nothing too much trouble
Family atmosphere, excellent table service and food, excellent accomodation.
Outside room ideal when you take your dog away. Right near the town centre
This place is fantastic. I was only looking for a night stay to save myself a long drive. However, with this place I found comfort, friendly staff and had a treat at the spa with a great massage at a good price. Will definitely be back and recommend to family and friends. Thanks ladies at Thai Spa ...
Perfect position for daughters graduation at University. Very quiet despite being on a busy road.
Renowned for its outstanding sports courses and leisure facilities, Loughborough University has a strong academic reputation, and was originally known as the Loughborough Technical Institute. It became an official university by 1966, and is in the historic market centre of Loughborough, the second largest town in Leicestershire. It's within easy reach of several affordable and luxury hotels that are ideal for business and leisure travellers.
Loughborough University has won numerous Queen's Anniversary Prizes, which are awarded by the Royal Anniversary Trust biennially to higher education institutions throughout the country. Loughborough is home to a beautifully preserved town hall, which dates back to the mid-19th Century and is still used for concerts, comedic performances, and other special performances and exhibitions. Another notable historic building nearby is Mount St. Bernard Abbey, in Coalville, which was founded in the early 19th Century, around 300 years after England's medieval monasteries were dissolved by King Henry VIII.
Loughborough is also acclaimed for its Charnwood Museum, which has many interesting artefacts related to local history, industry and archaeology, and provides a fascinating insight into Leicestershire's volcanic past. Another landmark in the town is the Lougborough Carillon, a special war memorial that is 46 metres high and was completed shortly after the First World War.
If you're visiting friends and family studying at the university and you're looking for budget friendly accommodation nearby, you could stay at the Ibis Budget Leicester, which provides immaculate contemporary accommodation and is less than three miles from the National Space Centre in Leicester itself.
The vast majority of Loughborough hotels have rooms with WiFi access, which is often provided free of charge in the town's more high-end three star and four star hotels. Business-themed hotels also have conference facilities and fully equipped business centres with computers, faxing facilities, photocopiers, and high-speed internet connections.
