Lovely hotel and grounds. There was a wedding on and I was in room 308 above the bar and the disco - it was as if the disco was in my room. Willing to put up with it until 11pm, but it didn’t finish until 1215am. Asked to be moved but hotel full. Complaint passed on to morning team on reception. I told them that room 308 should not be used when an event was on. Reception replied that usually room 308 was allocated to wedding guests. A friend in room 208 did not hear any noise. Reception said that they manager would ring me. She didn’t but did I get through to her eventually. Manager said that as I had dogs with me that room was the only room available. She also said that it states on the website that if there is an event there would be music etc until midnight. Cannot find the statement on the website but it does say all rooms for dogs are on the ground floor - 308 is not!! Asked manager for some compensation for the poor experience I had at the hotel but she ‘dug her heels’ in and thought it was totally acceptable. I would stay at the hotel again but would first check if there was an event and also where the room I would be staying in is situated.
