It was a last minute overnight stay. Right by the river Trent. It had been previously flooded, so some areas had been closed, such as lounge. They made a few changes though and it allowed us to access most areas. It was cosy, very clean and staff extremely professional and friendly. The only downside was the comfort of the bed. I didn’t get much sleep as. Just a suggestion to have a memory foam topper and better pillows.....They were very flat. Food was good in the evening but breakfast a bit sparse. No muesli, weeny bit of fruit, no yoghurt and only whitE sliced bread! Toaster burnt toast also, so may need adjusting. Apart from that it was a nice place to stay, and appreciate manager/owner coming around to greet us all. Nice personal touch.
