We were only 35-39 minutes from all the action. We loved coming back to the quiet and the area is great. But communication was easy and clear. Checkin was a breeze. It was a family vacation for the 4th, (a16, 18,19 yr olds, their mom and myself. Everyone enjoyed the stay. It truly felt like a home away from home. I will say that if you like being right around anything that this my not be for you as it is at least a 20 minute drive to anything, but if your like me that is what I liked the most about it. And you don't have to worry about anyone being right on top of you. The pond was a bonus, in fact I caught something almost everytime I I went fishing.
