Lovely hotel above an American 1950's themed diner

Posted 04-Jul-2017
The diner downstairs was excellent and the hotel too. The only drawbacks for us on a very sunny afternoon was the need to keep the window open and hearing the traffic noise and the mattress is within a wooden frame which I rarely missed hitting the corner of whenever I walked around the bed. Minor quibbles in what was a very enjoyable stay.

Convenient for requirement

Posted 29-Jun-2017
Pros: Convenient for requirement. The on-site diner was an advantage and both food and service were good. Parking.
Cons: The constant noise from closing room and fire doors needs to be addressed. Cleanliness, particularly in the bathroom, could be improved.
Location: Convenient for personal need. Good garden centre nearby. For those visiting places of interest there are several in the vicinity.
Needing a hotel close to Sevenoaks this was about our only choice. Whilst we would stay again if the need arose, the room was very small, as was the bathroom/shower. It was difficult to keep the window open - which we prefer - as the outside seating area was adjacent to the room and well used by smokers until quite late.

Needs updating.

Old and tired. Very hot room. Noisy desk fan and if window is open ( won't open more the 4inches) all you hear is the extraction fan below. Book room expecting 2 beds and got one. Not ideal when sharing with a 12yr old son.

Thank you for your feedback. The windows can be opened further if required, they are limited to keep you safe and in line with regulations. All our double rooms have double beds which is the room type booked by yourself. It's only our twin rooms that have two single beds. Alternatively we do have family rooms available that have one single bed and one Double bed.

This is a good basic hotel and is sufficient for a good nights sleep after a busy day.

Great little hotel.

Posted 02-Apr-2017
I booked this hotel at short notice and was pleasantly surprised. It was easy to find on a main road; the receptionist was very friendly and efficient; the room was spacious and had everything necessary for my overnight stay. It was quiet, despite being on a main road and I spent a very comfortable night here. I was very tempted by the American pancakes in the Diner, but decided to enjoy a lie-in before heading off to my next destination.

looking for a really nice hotel this is not it.

Pros: Staff we OK and the parking was also alright.
Cons: room size especially for the price.
Location: A Fabulous indian restaurant within a minutes walk.
The double room size should have been for a single room/ bed, instead it had a small double which made the room impossible for 2 people to move around in, No chairs to sit in (Because there was not enough room). Although this was a convenient area stopper us, for the price you could get so much more from various hotel chains. To top it all the diner below the rooms, the restaurant opens at 7am for breakfast, so at 6.30am we were awoken with the first song of the day, which was Johnny Cash singing “Don’t Take Your Guns To Town”, at which my husband said, he wished he had one, as that would have been the last of the cook and the music for that day.. The music continued all morning. As much as we both love those 50’s60’s classics they were hideously loud for that time of the morning.

Decent Hotel with Significant Traffic Noise.

Posted 13-Feb-2017 on Hotels
The hotel is situated on a busy road, therefore the traffic noise was really my only issue. The staff were exceptional, service in the diner was very slow and the food not really to my taste, wifi throughout was good and although the room was fairly small it was enough for one night.
