Wesby House is a spacious detached house that was once Sedbergh's train station, built in 1865. It i can be rented as a house or separated into two units - the accessible Old Station Cottage with 2 king sized bedroom and the two storey The House with 2 king bedrooms and a twin bedroom. Together Westby House has 5 bedrooms and sleeps 10 people plus cot.Although the outside buildings remain largely unchanged the inside has been beautifully modernised although it still retains historical features. Heating is by a pellet biomass boiler.We have been awarded the Green Award for sustainability.The house sits in extensive maintained gardens and is not visible from the road, it is accessed by a 150 metre private driveway through the gardens.It is situated in the south west Yorkshire Dales National Park and commands outstanding 360 degree views of the National Park and the Lune Valley. It is convenient for visiting both the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District being 15 minutes from Kendal.
Westby House offers 15 forms of accommodation which are accessible via exterior corridors and feature fireplaces and iPod docking stations. Rooms open to furnished patios. This individually decorated and furnished accommodation has separate living rooms. Beds feature premium bedding. A pillow menu is available. Accommodation at this 3.5-star property has kitchens with full-sized fridge/freezers, hobs, microwaves and separate dining areas. Bathrooms include a separate bath and shower with a deep soaking bath, designer toiletries, complimentary toiletries and hairdryers.

Guests can surf the web using complimentary wireless Internet access. 60-inch Flat-screen televisions come with satellite channels, DVD players and Netflix. Additionally, rooms include washers/dryers and coffee/tea makers. Housekeeping is provided once per stay. Renovation of all guestrooms was completed in January 2018.
