Noisy and gloomy

We stayed in this hotel for one night, and it was one of the worst hotel experiences ever. Our neighbors were partying until the wee hours of the morning, making it difficult to sleep.actually it sounded like someone was breaking the furniture all night in the suite above us! Also, the place had no windows except for a small one in the bedroom, making it claustrophobic and dark. For $250 I would have expected something nicer!

Great Location if you want to be near everything. Pros are its clean and comfortable. Cons, Units shares a balcony, no area to hose off after the beach and parking is public which you pay roughly $10 a day. If you don't plan on driving at all you can park a few blocks away for free on the street.

Room was clean and neat. However, the room that I booked was “double booked” so the manager told me that I would have to pay an extra $30 to stay in a different room. I NEEDED the room, so I sucked it up and paid, but the double booking was in no way my fault, yet I have to suffer due to someone else’s mistake!

The Surfside Suites was a real fine place to stay! The fact that it's one block from the beach is one thing! The room looked new! Well appointed, small kitchen with plates glasses and silverware! Also a refrigerator, small stove, kcup coffee pot and toaster! The bathroom was clean and was stocked with towels and a nice shower! Beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillows! The owners are very accommodating and couldn't have been nicer! We will definitely be returning to this wonderful place!!

Nice place

great location. Friendly staff. Mostly quiet except for a rowdy bunch who came in Saturday but couldn’t hear them once in our room which was on other side of hall a couple doors down. Clean and you can walk anywhere.

Would not book again.

I booked this hotel for one night and could barely sleep because of how gross everything was. Upon check-in, I noticed a couple hairs on the pillowcase, and while a little bothered, it wasn't enough to make me leave. However, as my time in the room progressed, I began to notice stains everywhere, hairs in the shower, on the towels, under the blankets, and finally ROACHES crawled from beneath the trash can. I was on a tight schedule (headed to friend's wedding), and by the time I noticed the roaches, it was time to head to the wedding venue. I got back after midnight, and was leaving early the following morning, so I simply slept a few hours, then left. Upon going to the office to return the key, I discovered signs that stated "there is no daily maid service"- which may be fine day to day, but how are they assuring the rooms are properly cleaned when someone leaves?! Based on our room condition, it's hard to believe that the rooms are cleaned at all! Very, very disappointing experience. I would never stay here again nor would I recommend to anyone until they hire someone to thoroughly clean the rooms, and properly launder the bedding between each guest!
