I only stayed one night. Upon check-in I was offered an upgraded room which was appreciated. They called it a suite, but I don't see how it was a suite. The bedroom and bathroom were essentially one room and separated by a glass wall. There was a small closet area and a desk. No doors or separate rooms. The bathroom was even completely open. In my mind suite means separate living area and sleeping area, and closed off bathroom. The gesture was appreciated but I can't imagine what the normal rooms are like if this was a suite.
Overall the room seemed dusty. The toiletries were lacking, there wasn't even lotion in the bathroom. Minimalist design all around. Check-out was swift, but no one bothered to ask how my stay was or what I thought of the property. Breakfast spread was nice, and the girl working was very attentive and offered plenty of coffee which is always much appreciated. She was the most hospitable person I encountered.
Overall a bland hotel. Not sure I'd stay here again.
The room was comfortable and very clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Transport connections are great - a bus right outside will take you to Alexanderplatz, and the U2 U-Bahn line is also just outside - which connects you to the Ku'damm, Zoo, Potsdamer Platz, Mitte, Alexanderplatz and Prenzlauer Berg. You are also less than a five minute walk to the U1 line (connecting you to Neukölln, Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain), and a 10 minute walk to Nollendorfplatz (gay area). Is Bülowstraße itself great? Not really, but it's so easy to get elsewhere and for a nice hotel in central Berlin at that price it is worth it.
"Fantastic Hotel next to excellent travel service. "
Everything was extremely clean (Perhaps clinical, but very modern). The Hotel staff were tremendous & very willing to help. I didn't taste the delights of their breakfast, but made use of the bar most nights which was very cosy. Close by to local tube station & regular bus services right outside the front door. My only down side to this hotel is no coffee making facilities in the bedroom (Coffee can be purchased for 2€ & can be taken to the room.
Pleasant and attractive part of Berlin, a few yards from coffee and cake cafe, and very cheap supermarket. A few yards from underground and walking distance to overground station. To get to and from schoenfeldt airport, change at hermanstrasse.
Good location, clean, friendly staff, but hotel is not in the best condition. One of the sockets hung out of the wall, the lampshades are all wobbly and scratched, a wet patch on the bathroom ceiling. The maintenance is really bad.
I booked here because of location and the stars. It was a 5 minute cab ride to get you up and running and you were good for the day. The property has a very nice dining area and I highly recommend the hotel breakfast buffet you can get anything you want and it is very good, the staff was polite and friendly. The bar on the property was also nice. We stayed in a suite because of all the people traveling together and it worked out good. We needed two twin beds and one king two separate rooms and we got this. It was also nice to have coffee and tea in the room. Parking was an additional charge but what can you do? I would recommend this hotel to you. I forgot to mention it was quiet.
Located south of the city center, Schoeneberg is home to the iconic KaDeWe department store, the largest in Europe. Quiet, affluent residential streets lead east to Nollendorfplatz, the epicenter of queer Berlin nightlife popularized by Christopher Isherwood in Cabaret, while the distinctive Rote Insel quarter retains the easygoing, bohemian charm of its most famous daughter, Marlene Dietrich.
