Overall the location is really good, close to good restaurants, stores and subway stations. The hotel is cute and the staff friendly. But the downside is the room is very small and the bathroom was licking, we complained and it's was not solved, maybe because it couldn't be solved. The show water would go into the bathroom and flood the bathroom floor
Pleasant and attractive part of Berlin, a few yards from coffee and cake cafe, and very cheap supermarket. A few yards from underground and walking distance to overground station. To get to and from schoenfeldt airport, change at hermanstrasse.
A minimalistically stylish hotel with minimal frills. Great location for exploring West Berlin with excellent transport links to other parts of the city. The immediate neighbourhood is nothing to write home about but lots of bars and restaurants within 10 minute walk around Motzstrasse.
Room is outdated. Pillows not good. Bed too low. No air conditioning. No consideration for checking in early. They stick to 3pm check in even though you're there 40 mins before check in time and the hotel is not even full?
This is a friendly, hepful and well-run hotel. The staff were excellent. The room was adequsately sized with a modedrn ensuite bath/shower/toilet. It is well located; close to the Uban and restaurants in the Gay district.
The big problem is the smoking shelter in the central courtyard. In the very hot weather during our stay we had the option of opening the bedroom window and being cooler and suffering the tobacco smoke in the bedroom , or sweltering in the heat. There is no air con. As the hotel was full we could not be moved to an outward facing room.
Also the hotel is noisy ar night (the effects of which could be reduced by air con)
However, value for money

Located south of the city center, Schoeneberg is home to the iconic KaDeWe department store, the largest in Europe. Quiet, affluent residential streets lead east to Nollendorfplatz, the epicenter of queer Berlin nightlife popularized by Christopher Isherwood in Cabaret, while the distinctive Rote Insel quarter retains the easygoing, bohemian charm of its most famous daughter, Marlene Dietrich.
