Hotel was very good. Bed was excellent, missed not having tea / coffee making facilities as we arrived very late due to planes late arrival. It would have been nice to have been able to make a hot drink.
I recently stayed in Berlin for two nights whilst running the Berlin marathon. I needed something close to the start of the run aswell as near all the attractions! (Check point Charlie, Berlin Wall, Brandenburg gate, all within 5-10 mins)
I arrived a lot earlier than the check in time but that wasn't a problem and they put on a pasta night for the runners!! (I've done a few marathons and this is the ONLY hotel that has done this).
Staff were so friendly, they helped any way they could from places to eat to train times!
Room was comfortable for one, had everything I needed (wifi, safe etc) bathroom was ok!

"Nice hotel in quiet area but close to attractions"
We have just spent 6 nights here. The hotel was very comfortable and clean. We had 2 nights in a lovely room with a large bathroom (bath and shower). Unfortunately on the 2nd night there was loud music in a flat or courtyard at the back of the hotel which went on well into the night. With hindsight, we could have asked the hotel to phone the police. However at 3 am, you tend not to think of these things. We were given a new room which was slightly smaller and this time had only a shower. However it was still excellent. Very clean
The hotel was great, in a excellant location within walking distance to all tourist spots and trendy streets. The hotel room was brandnew and amaxing, really recomnend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in a good area for a good price and a 4 star hotel
We had a room with little kitchenette area. Modern design and fresh feel. Staff great when arrived and throughout. Just round the corner from checkpoint charlie. Nice and quiet location. Good for access to all main sites and tourist attractions.
No air con - we did get a tower fan for our stay from the nice man on reception. It was hot at night so we had windows and balcony open as well to try keep cool.
Smoking - it is a non-smoking room but be aware that the balconies are used for smoking. The tobacco brands seem pretty strong in Germany and the smell does permeate across especially if you have to have windows open due to the heat. The actual room didn't smell of smoke though.
Bed had a pretty hard mattress but not that uncomfortable, though we did wake up achey each morning. If you like a hard mattress its fine.
Hotel has a shop for snacks and you can have breakfast. We didn't bother so can't advise on that. There are sauna and gym facilities plus roof terrace. Again we didn't use so can't advise on them.
Rooms were cleaned every day and towels changed if you wanted or you could choose to keep towels a few days etc. The floors never appeared to be swept very well but the bed was always made and bins emptied plus usual cleaning of sinks and so on was good. Friendly cleaning staff too and do not disturb sign could be used when required.
Overall a great base and nice room size with good facilities. Friendly staff with great customer service. I'd stay there again.
The room we stayed in didn't quite match the pictures shown online however it was a clean and pleasant place to stay. All the facilities you need, nice buffet breakfast, the best ice cream sundaes ever! In terms of location, right next to the S-Bahn, Brandenburg Gate is only a couple of stops away, however the actual area the hotel is in is quite barren with very few restaurants or sights within walking distance. This made it a quiet place to stay but if you're like us and only staying for 2 days I'd recommend maybe staying in east Kreuzberg and being a bit closer to all the action.
An excellent hotel, convenient location especially if you fly into Schonenburg. Round the corner from the Hermanplatz station.
A comfy, large twin room, excellent breakfast.
I would certainly book again if I go back to Berlin
Breakfast was great., the hotel staff was wonderful, and the rooms stylish, but not very clean. Also, bathroom doors are frosted glass, offering virtually no privacy if you're sharing a room. Internet connection is unacceptably bad for a major hotel in a metropolitan area. The location itself is dead—despite its name, this hotel is NOT on or really even near the Potsdamer Platz, so expect a long walk to bars, restaurants or much of anything else.
