200 yards from Checkpoint Charlie, with a U-Bahn station practically on the doorstep, the Angleterre is a good budget base for exploring Berlin. Unter den Linden and Potsdamer Platz are walking distance. It's very quiet and the room was fairly basic but perfectly comfortable. The buffet breakfast (not included) was expensive and a bit ordinary, to be honest - You're better off picking something up at a bakery.
Very nice employees, the breakfast was very decent. I booked a three bed, and I loved that i got a tiny room adjacent to mine, my kid loved to have his own private little room. location, was just a few steps from park, mcdonalds and ubahn station. I will definitely stay there again. The neighborhood is a bit icky but for the price we got good value.
Found the hotel on the internet near the area of Berlin near my meetings location. A very nice surprise. It is 4 years old, staff friendly, rooms clean and quite large compared to many European rooms. The shower was nice size, could easily turn around and room for 'friends'. Breakfast was good, nothing special, but a nice diversity of options. I will definitely stay here again.
The Relexa Hotel was located quite centrally, with most of the main sites within walking distance. The S- and U-Bahn locations down the block make it easy to get anywhere you need. After long days exploring, it was great to come back to the spacious room and comfortable bed to relax. We will definitely be back!

I love visiting Berlin, with this area a favourite, and so the hotel is in the perfect location. After getting slightly confused trying to access the hotel for the first time - we ended up in the courtyard, not realising that the cafe on the main street was where you were supposed to check in - we had a great stay at this hotel. The bedroom was a brilliant size and very comfy. Some interesting artwork around the bedroom and hotel as well, with more than a nod to its previous life as a chocolate factory. Although the hotel is on the busy Mehringdamm, our bedroom was to the rear of the courtyard and very quiet, so no trouble sleeping at all. We had large doors out onto the terrace which had deckchairs and other furniture to relax outside on. The bathroom was a great size with separate bath and shower. The mini bar was well stocked and the prices reasonable. There was a nespresso machine in the bedroom, although each capsule cost one euro - I would have thought that the coffee provided in the room would not be chargeable - however a small point in an otherwise great stay.
The location is ideal - just a couple of minutes away from Mehringdamm underground making anywhere in the city easy to get to, however the area itself is fantastic - great places to shop, eat and drink on your doorstep (as a couple of vegans we were spoiled for choice!) and the markethalle just 5-10mins away, which as well as the indoor market had outside stalls set up as well. I would definitely recommend!
When we checked in the staff were fantastic, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Within a 20min walk from Potsdamer Platz, and if you dont mind walking, quite a lot of other great sites. Otherwise the train stop is steps away, and the front desk can help you with tickets.
We ate in the little bistro which was also nice, limited but pleasant and again lovely staff. Its always a bit embarassing when you dont speak the language but everyone was so nice speaking English to us. The breakfast was excellent. Excellent choice for the price - couldnt be happier!
Located south of Mitte in the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg borough, the culturally diverse city of Kreuzberg is a must for museum and music lovers. Get schooled in trains, planes, and automobiles at the German Museum of Technology. The Jewish Museum wows both architecturally and historically. The Carnival of Cultures festival takes place in June, and is a spirited celebration of music and culture.
