Kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfortable, although the bathroom was small it was more than adequate. The lounge/dinner was OK but not particularly comfortable, the TV reception was very poor with only a few channels watchable, with no DVD there is very limited entertainment with only a box of games for children, also no reading material only fliers of local interest.
The apartment is in need of a revamp as it is looking a bit worn and may have the original decor since built. The second bedroom had limited storage and the bedside light had no bulb in it. The bathroom had a broken towel rail with a note attached saying do not use, awaiting repair, also the sink plug either needs a new seal or adjustment as the water drains away before you can wash.
The apartment has no canal view only out to the main car park at the back or out to a very busy road at the front, also quite noisy at night if you are a light sleeper. Also it is part of a large group of apartments with young families with limited areas for them to play?
There were some nice touches such as the small bottles of wine, coffee, tea, biscuits etc in the kitchen, and plenty of towels and shampoos and body lotions etc in the bathroom.
With a nice makeover the apartment could be a good 4 star but the position will never make it 5 star.
