The first year was wonderful. This year, we showed up to a house that was not clean at all. There were mouse droppings on everything as well as an abundant amount of mice. The stairs have a lot of loose boards and at one point a vertical support that was glued into place fell and hit one of my children. The owner contacted me after our stay accusing us of destroying her house, having pets in her home (which we did not) and for destroying a quilt (which we did not) when we left we were greeted with a 300 charge to our account for damage that we did not cause. we tried to messag us. ##### kenny o. We love the out of the way places for outdoor activities. We went hiking in nearby Pisgah Nat'l Forest as well as around the cabin. We had deer right outside the cabin roaming around. This home is a perfect getaway if you are looking to stay in a quiet and secluded place. If you are looking for luxury, granite and the town within reach, this place is not for you. It was perfect for us for a relaxing and cozy vacation. The owner made excellent communication with clear directions and warning about the driveway.
