Very convenient, centrally located quiet hotel.

Posted 15-Nov-2016 on Hotels
This little hotel was exceptionally centrally located in central Rome. Close to all sites. Great restaurants and shopping. Very easy to walk everywhere. Loved that it only has 15 rooms so all is quiet. The continental breakfast is just the right amount and type of food to start the day.

Location, Location, Location

Six nights - rooms are smalish, but the hotels location can't be beat! Almost everything in Rome is walkable from here. Check in is at the Hotel Concordia across the street.

Good location but failed on several issues

Posted 07-Nov-2016
Pros: Location is very good. Room was clean and well appointed.
Cons: They need to let guests know that they turn the AC off in October and no matter how hot it is they won't turn it back on. Our room was 85 degrees and the only thing we could do was leave the window open all the time even if it was raining and it was very loud on the streets all night. Also the cold water valve on our shower would not work during the entire stay - only hot or scalding water. We reported it day one with daily promises to fix it. They said they fixed it once (they didn't) then they said it was too hard to fix and then they said they would try again and they didn't. We dealt with it but not what we would expect from the ratings or reviews.
Location: Great location near Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain!

It was a wonderful hotel. The only thing to know about is the lobby is not in this hotel, but across the street. Also there is no english speaking TV stations

Close to shopping and Spanish steps

Posted 18-Sep-2016
Pros: Proximity to a lot of shopping, restaurants, sightseeing buses..
Cons: Fix the shower handles so they operate better. Hair dryer would overheat and stop, had to wait to cool down and run on medium.
Location: Shopping, eating and sightseeing....all close by
We arrived early and they let us drop off our bags. Came back after walking and having lunch and rooms were ready. However, keys were not ready yet but came later. 3 rooms to each floor. Small lift. Have to walk the first flight then take the lift. Breakfast is cheese, deli meat, cold boiled eggs, fruit, pastry, toast, dried cereal, coffee juice. Expresso and cafe americano and lattes, you have to ask. Served on the top floor in a small inside area with a small outside area. Small but satisfying... Couldn't get the water temp to change but it was ok. Window looked out to the street. Couldn't find any English speaking programs on TV so watched Italian cooking shows!!! Asked for more hangars, never got them. Couldn't figure out how to call to another room. dial 11 then the room number after asking a second time. Sometimes the phone worked between rooms, sometimes it didn't. WiFi would come and go but worked for the most part. Close to tons of shopping, restaurants, hop on hop off bus about 7 blocks away. A very different McDonalds just around the corner. It is worth a look see..Huge with gelato, coffee pastries and then upstairs to the regular McDonalds... Staff were very friendly. Check in was easy and check out the same. Front desk provided a map of the city and card with the name and number on it...

Note that hotel does not have its own lobby / front desk, those services are provided by a partner hotel across the street, which is a slight inconvenience.

Good stay

The hotel itself was fine. We had some issues with the reception and booking, they sorted it out finally but I was expecting much more polite behaviour.
