My son and I visited recently and loved everything about the property, proprietors, the accommodations and the experience. Sitting down at breakfast to chat with other guests was the icing on the cake.
The Lantana House was clean, quiet, well taken care of and centrally located as it relates to restaurants and local attractions. The ower was polite, helpful and provide us with fresh cooked breakfast breads every morning.
I added a review on another site, but my two nights stay was wonderful. The hosts were very friendly and shared things to do, places to go. There were lovely breakfast buffets each morning. I will definitely consider another stay here.
Lantana House was an absolutely lovely stay. Richard and Tanya were sweet hosts and always made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the whole place is cozy and a lovely place to hang out. We ended up spending a good amount of time on the porch just enjoying. The continental breakfast was above average and included some delicious fruit and homemade baked goods. Would definitely recommend!
I always enjoy staying here. It is a very
comfortable environment. I have been here
3 times. Very good location as well. Breakfast is excellent as well.
Lantana is an excellent Bed and Breakfast in Rockport MA. It's ideally located near the center of town and close to beaches. The continental breakfast is delicious, especially the fresh fruit and baked goods.
We really enjoyed staying there. Great location. The couple who owns it are very nice and helpful. The breakfast arrangement was great. Many areas to congregate with the other guests
Friendly owners who were great to chat with. The house was very clean, quite, and comfortable. Our breakfast was lovely and we can't wait to go back, thank you!
The Lantana House is the perfect place to stay when visiting Rockport. It’s a 2 minute walk to shopping, theater and restaurants. Free onsite parking which is a premium in Rockport. Rick, the owner, was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.
We loved how easy a walk it is to enjoy Rockport. Lots of shops and places to eat. There is a convenience store right across the street if you need anything. The innkeeper was very nice and helpful. A new quilt on the bed would go a long way, but don't let that stop you from staying at this sweet little place!
I absolutely loved this bed and breakfast. It was so quaint and decorated with vintage wallpaper and furniture. The bed was so comfortable, I slept soundly and was greeted to a wonderful continental breakfast of fruit, granola, yogurt, home made pastries and all kinds of breads. The owners, Richard and Tracy were very cordial and eager to please. I can't wait to return.
The purple/lavender room was cozy furnished very nicely.
The towels were plush.
The breakfast was delicious, Cut up fruit first, option of yogurt and granola to go with it, then the French toast arrived.
Owners were friendly and helpful.
The church bells next door might be a problem for a light sleeper. They go off on the hour and the church is right next door. Super clean, friendly service and free parking. A short walk from everything in-town.

Liked: Property conditions & facilities
Excellent location. Room was not equipped with mini fridge or microwave. Stairs could be challenging with luggage. Innkeeper was very “rules “ oriented and hovered around guests to assure compliance.
I have to say that our stay was not enjoyable or pleasant. I will start with the pros. It was in a great location & the town of Rockport is adorable. It’s steps from the beach & Bearskin neck. The rooms are nice sized and fairly comfortable & clean. However, we were informed upon arrival that there’s “no housekeeping”. So no change of sheets or towels for the 4 days of our stay. We were also informed upon arrival to “keep our TV’s low @ not making any noise” (directed at my teen & tween sons). The B&B keepers were always around and fairly intrusive & stingy about anything that we seemed to want or need. For example we were told “that’s the last of the mango” when we took a second helping of fruit (of which there was enough for about 2-3 guests at most). We also were told that we should dress casually & not get dressed up along with “do people still iron?” when we asked for an iron. I can give more examples of this inhospitable behavior but will suffice it to say that I felt like I was in unwelcome guest in a distant relatives home. This is not what I have come to expect nor has been my experience with any other B&B or inn I’ve ever stayed at.
