Check in was bad, there are two different locations and the pictures shown are a mix of both locations. The apartments don't have an office there you have to figure out where the other place is to check in. After 30 minutes looking for the place. Fortunately was able to call and a rude person gave me the address but no directions how to get to the check in place

Pictures are from two different locations. There is no lobby at the apartments after 30 minutes we found place where we checked in. No signs to guide you or information on the reservation documents to let you know. Called front desk where a non so friendly person gave me address of the actual place to check in which is mosaics hotel. We left a day earlier didn't like the place at all

Overall the hotel was fine but not quite as expected. The hotel key was at a different hotel which was easy enough to figure out. The room didn't really have wifi. It was the minimal possible coverage and generally could not hold the signal for more than a few seconds. It is probably because we were on the top floor (the parking lot had great coverage). The hotel is a ways from the city center and you really need to drive or take some other transport. The room had a AC unit (in one of 3 rooms) but was so hot when we arrived we could not get it cooled down. We ended up moving some beds into the room with the AC unit. On the positive side the room was very spacious and the kitchen had all of the pans and utensils we needed to make dinner and breakfast. The grocery store is very close with good prices and good selection. The price was better than most hotels we looked at in the area. Ravenna as a city was incredible and worth a visit.

More than you pay for

The Residenza Mosaico amazed us with the space -- living room, kitchen with table, two bedrooms, balcony, and modern bathroom. Very clean, only a short distance from a supermarket and bakery, a short walk to a bus. Checking in at the Hotel Mosaico, a property ten minutes away, wasn't the most convenient thing, but I'd stay here again in a minute. It's not the place for those used to luxury but perfect for the adventurous on a budget.

Great apartment - great location

Posted 09-Jan-2014
Pros: Clean, great location, our own kitchen.
Cons: More rugs on the tile floor - it got a little cold.
Location: The mosaics really are incredible, it's not just hype. If you have seen more frescos and statues to last you for the rest of your life, go to Ravenna
Apartment was an easy walk to the train station, historical events, downtown areas, and churches. There are some excellent places to eat with gluten-free options! Most people in Ravenna do not speak English, or only speak a few words, so head to the Welcome Center and get all the information you need there. Also, buy the one ticket that gets you into the major places. Ravenna was our favorite city we visited in Italy (also went to Venice, Florence, Bologna, and Milan). The town has a great feel and many, many historical locations that have been beautifully restored.

Nice place to stay

Posted 16-Jul-2013
Pros: Parking space and appartement well equipped.
Cons: Have to get the key to another place.
Location: Monument close , and city center accessible with 10 minutes walk.
Room was well equipped. Lots of parking space available. Close to the Théodoric monument. 10 minutes walk to the historic center of the city. The only catch, you have to get the key iof your appartement to the Hotel Mosaico, which is 500 meters from there. Other than that, it was ok.

nice family rooms reasonably close to center

Posted 01-Apr-2013
Pros: cleanliness of the apartment
Cons: its actually in a separate building some distance from the hotel.
Location: reasonably close to the city center, but don't walk into town too late as many things are closed including restaurants
We stayed at the residence and not the hotel directly. The residence on the inside was pleasant and I would likely stay there again. The challenge was that you actually collect the key from a different place (which was not in the instructions) and the hotel staff assume you know this and also know where the other hotel is (with no address that you are given). It took us several phone calls and a lot of driving in circles before we were able to get into the room. the residence from the outside is a little run down.

Appartamento spazioso, luminoso, nuovo, pulito, in Ravenna a pochi km dal mare o dalla citta, lo consigliero sicuramente a parenti ed amici, grazie cristina
