"The staff was amazing and attentive. But there was a lot of hidden costs as well as the property on Expedia being mid marketed. The spa is not included in price you pay. You have to pay additional as you have to with everything else. Even washers and dryer are paid for. "

"Room and bedroom were lovely, french doors with garden outdoor view , you would not expect that from the front door of your room and the front area , bit shabby and dated, saying that bathroom very dated was clean but could do with modernization. Pool was my biggest let down, small very busy and again generally little shabby , temp was good , but I didn't stay in for long , on our visit jacuzzi was full of young lads , all friends couldn't get near it . Quite a walk to breakfast from our room/ chalet, so took car ( disabled) breakfast very basic , can't say much more, not memorable. The area is beautiful, river and scenery, cute shops , obviously expensive, train area good place to visit , enough places to eat and get coffee , we come back regularly so great place. Carpark is broken up deffo needs attention. ."

"Check in and out was easy. Room was clean . Staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was excellent. Only down side was with it beinging an older building soundproofing wasn't the best. "

"The majority of the rooms is not in the castle but in a converted barn, paper thin walls so you can hear everything happening in the next room. Some rooms don’t have connected bathrooms so you hear the doors constantly slam as they need to use the toilet. The meal in the restaurant costs 70 each and the amount of food you get is embarrassing, they will hide behind this by saying it’s fancy food but I would not even feed it to my dog. Save your money as even if you are rich and can afford it I suggest you find a different place. "
