Quiet, old hotel

Posted 16-Mar-2017
The hotel was in a quiet area, about 10 minutes walk from the leaning tower. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was good, pastries, juice, yoghurt, toast, fresh croissants each morning, restaurants nearby. All you need for a short break in Pisa, train station nearby to travel around.

One night stay

Posted 30-Dec-2016
I returned to Pisa for a one night stay and it was a good stay. For me it was good enough for the night so that I could have caught my flight the next day. By the way it is a little way from the airport. The area seems to be safe as I got in after 9pm and not much was happening in terms of people traffic on the street. I used google maps while walking from Pisa Centrale to help me find the place. Took me about half hour as I walked slowly. Hard to say how it would be if you are driving. The room is spacious enough for one person. The toiletries were enough for a night. The bed was comfy. I didn't figure out the heating system which looks a little outdated so I had a cold room. That's my fault, I was too tired to ask for assistance but the blanket kept me warm. Breakfast was a bit plain with cake, bread, jam, croissant and a coffee/milk/chocolate machine. I liked the machine as it made really hot drinks. The breakfast area is heated so you won't be in a chilly area of the hotel. The breakfast room is the "backyard" of the place but covered with tarpaulin and had two heating mushroom looking devices. Check in and out were a breeze. I got a room on the lobby floor which was great for me. No steps to climb. If you get a lobby floor room, remember to close your curtains as mine was opened while I changed. The room faces a side street. Luckily no traffic so hopefully no one was lurking.

Perfect location

Room was basic but very comfortable. Good bed - which is very important to me. Bathroom good except for very small shower. Breakfast was basic but provided everything you needed.

Disappointing

Posted 25-Oct-2016 on Hotels
Double bed is two single beds in two frames which does not work. They also were old and in disrepair. TV was small and really an insult to offer a TV where by the screen is 10". Good location and staff were helpful. Overall the rating is below average for what you pay for and get in return. We have traveled a great amount in Europe and in Italy. Given Italian standards, this was not up to par.

Comfortable clean small hotel

Posted 20-Oct-2016 on Hotels
Locality close to leaning tower Tourist sites nearby but also many local shops trattorias. Comfortable and clean Good WiFi downstairs though only weak unreliable signal upstairs. Breakfast was not so good Basic disposable plates, breads toast etc, in a covered outdoor space that felt congested Overall comfortable stay more like guest house than hotel

A lovely Place to stay

Posted 11-Oct-2016
Location: Pisa is more than just a wonky tower. There is a wealth of history and architecture that is well worth a couple of days before you jump on the train t
We had a short break to Pisa and stayed at the Casa San Tommaso. The trip from Pisa airport was 15 Euro's, but only a 30 min walk from the station, to which there are regular trains and busses, if you want to take that route. The hotel is in the old part of town to the North of Pisa and the building is just as old and looks great. The location is just the right distance from the Tower and monument plaza, which for us was about 100 steps. The hotel is through an arch where it all becomes very peaceful away from the hoards. There are lots of places to eat and prices were reasonable. The hotel it’s self is best described as quaint. The staff are very helpful and friendly and speak very good English, though I did try to use my limited Italian hen I could. The rooms are clean, comfortable and functional. There was a small tv and the WIFI was very good, there was also air con. Breakfast was included in our stay, which was a light continental one, those looking for a full English should stay elsewhere. The hotel was a wonderful find and would happily recommend it.

Nice hotel close to Pisa Tower

Posted 11-Sep-2016
Pros: location
Cons: Breakfast - more savoury options
Location: very close to the leaning tower of Pisa
We stayed there for one night in September 2016. Rooms had everything we needed. Aircon fridge. Very close walk to the leaning tower of Pisa. Staff was not very friendly and breakfast was mostly sweet pastries.
