Do NOT stay here!

Do NOT stay here unless you are a drug dealer or "lady of the night". I knew nothing about the neighborhood when I booked this hotel. As I was arriving, I realized I was in one of the worst parts of Mesa. When I went inside to check in there was a sign reading "No refunds on rooms if it's been more than 15 minutes since you checked in." Seriously? Never seen something like that before. Then as I was checking in, a couple homeless people came into the lobby and the front desk clerk addressed them as though she knew them, telling them she had no rooms for the night. Ok, I'm now certain this is a "special" hotel. However, it's late, I'm tired, my two kids are tired and it's just for one night. We get into the room and it reeks of cigarette smoke...everything...including the bedsheets. Heard people arguing outside, and at one point thought to myself "I wouldn't be surprised if the cops end up here at some point during the night." Sure enough, I woke up in the middle of the night and through the cracks in the curtains I could see the flashing red & blue outside.
