Thimblewynd: "best in Scotland With Hot Tub"

Cottage in Perth
Thimblewynd holiday rental has been described as one of the "best in Scotland with hot tub" (The Scotsman Newspaper). Born in 1860, Thimblewynd is a C-Listed period cottage found in the historic village of Dunning, Perthshire. Thimblewynd has grown into a luxury romantic hideaway with plenty of benefits. Secluded Hot tub experience? Yes. Log Burner? Yes. Gastropub on the corner? Yes. Village shop at the bottom of the street? Yes that as well. We are chuffed to have Thimblewynd in our lives and are delighted to share it with you. It's a place that just feels right and a huge investment has been taken to ensure it has everything a couple may need to enjoy a special time together (hot tub, log fire, smart tv, wifi, record player, board games...) Reviews show that while guests enjoy a real sense of seclusion and getting away from it all, they also enjoy all the amenities of our village location. The local shop is incredibly well stocked and perfectly situated should you have forgotten to bring an everyday (or romantic) essential. What is particularly unique is our secluded walled garden. In the sunshine you can enjoy the hammock and bbq. In Scotland we all know you can't guarantee the weather, so we have installed covered areas to let you enjoy the space no matter what. The hot tub remains uncovered to let you star gaze together. It's pretty special. Inside, it continues to be about luxury and being together. The kitchen is fully equipped. The living space is cosy and full of stuff to do. Wifi (obviously), board games, books, a vinyl record player with LPs (or bring your own) and Smart TV (easily link to your netflix or amazon prime account). The log burner is always a hit. Upstairs you find the large bedroom, with king-size brass bed, shuttered windows and a beautiful view. The ensuite bathroom includes a drench shower, towels, robes and organic bath products.
Bathrooms include a shower.
The recreational activities listed below are available either on-site or nearby; fees may apply.

Perfect weekend break
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this characterful cottage with its quirky garden. Despite it being November we utilised all the thoughtful touches including the comfy hammock, enjoying the fairy lights and seclusion. The hot tub was fantastic and Dunning itself was great for dog walks and a really friendly gastro-pub. The cottage was very comfortable and warm with everything we could possibly need. Thank you for all the lovely personal touches.

5/5 Excellent

Perfect break
Cottage was just perfect, everything you need carefully provided, luxury touches like fleecy blankets and Prosecco in fridge. Location ideal, we walked (2 mins) to the Kirkstyle Inn for lovely food We had a beautiful time and only wished could have stayed longer.

5/5 Excellent

Great Location, if you want a quiet stay. Perth is 9 miles by bus or car.
The property is as advertised. If you like your music there is a retro record player clips on side speaker in front with some vinyl provided. The property is very rustic with really good touches. The bathroom looks like it was just finished very high spec, kitchen as well. Now the hot tub, ticks the boxes, excellent. There are towels provided for using the hot tub, we took our own. The local pub is The Kirkstyle Inn, the food is great (try the fish tea). Down by the golf course is the Tee Room. They do afternoon tea bookings only or you can just turn up for tea/coffee soup, sandwiches and other foods. We used the property as a base to travel around the highlands . But the property is a great place to just relax and chill.
