Just-for-two. Apartment in West Cornwall with rural and coastal views

Adults-only apartments in Penzance
Delightful ground floor apartment at Geevor House on the North Cornish Coast in Trewellard , with panoramic rural and coastal views to the Atlantic Ocean from the private enclosed gardens. You will be our only guest(s) and we will not disturb you but we are on hand to provide more detailed information about our wonderful part of Cornwall if you should so wish.
THE AREA
Peaceful, edge-of-village location in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on The Tin Coast. Ideally situated to explore Cornwall’s mining heritage at nearby Geevor Tin Mine and Levant Mine and Beam Engine. A little further along the coast at Botallack are the iconic and widely photographed Crown Mine engine houses, perched precariously on the edge of the granite cliffs just above the sea and West Wheal Owles which featured as ‘Wheal Leisure’ in the T. V. Series ‘Poldark’.
Away from the cliffs and not far from the apartment there are numerous footpaths across the West Penwith Moors leading to Ancient Neolithic sites such as Chun Quoit, Chun Castle and Tregeseal Stone Circle.
For swimming and surfing we recommend a trip to Sennen Cove which is a seasonal Life-Guarded beach with parking, toilets and places to eat and drink. If you park in the Harbour Car Park there you can take the coast path and walk over the cliffs to Land’s End enjoying the coastal scenery on the way.
Another landmark not to be missed is St. Michael’s Mount at Marazion near Penzance. At low tide you can walk across the causeway and if the tide comes in you can come back by boat.
LOCAL FACILITIES
Trewellard and Pendeen are two villages merged into one and between them there are three pubs, a meadery, three cafe/restaurants, a petrol station, post office, pottery/gallery, chip shop, corner shop and farmer’s market (Saturdays).
A larger selection of shops , cafes and galleries along with a library and doctor’s surgery can also be found in the ancient market town of St. Just which is approximately two miles away.

Ideal base to explore this area of Cornwall
Geevor House has everything you could possibly want or need for a break away. Extremely well equipped with a wonderful walk in shower, comfy bed and lovely peaceful garden area to enjoy. Jayne made us feel very welcome with not only the correspondence prior to the visit and during, but also the presentation of the cottage when we arrived with every consideration taken into account regarding the present climate. The addition of fresh flowers, coffee, tea, milk and biscuits was lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here the surrounding and immediate area are wonderful for walking, sightseeing or simply relaxing and Geevor House is the ideal base from which to do it.

Lovely stay in comfy house
This property has everything you need for a short (or long!) stay in Cornwall. The house is modern and looks like it has recently been fitted out. Very comfy King size bed, bathroom with towels, Living room with two sofas, tv and dining table. Cooking equipment in the kitchen if you want to make the most of cooking rather than eating out. Coffee, teabags, milk and biscuits are a great welcoming touch. Jayne was a great host, gave us detailed directions on how to find the property before arriving and great recommendations of things in the local area. We didn’t need much assistance but Jayne was on hand if we needed. The property is bigger than it looks in the pictures, which was great! There is a pub and the Meadery in the village, and a short walk to the coast. In an ideal location to reach many different beaches in West Cornwall. A great stay, very convenient and we will definitely return! Thank you so much!

An Absolute Gem!
We loved our time at Geevor House. The apartment was perfect for two people; we genuinely couldn't have wished for more. Everywhere was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. Jayne and John were perfect hosts, friendly, welcoming and there if we needed them, but never intrusive. We honestly could not fault our stay - even the weather was good! We have already recommended this place to family and friends and hope that we will be able to return in the future. Thank you both, very much, for a super weekend in Cornwall.
