Lovely hotel in excellent location

Very quiet neighborhood in the middle of Paris. Relatively spacious room with private balcony. Walking distance to the Arc de Triomphe.

Nice Hotel with easy access to everything!

Posted 05-Jul-2016
Picked this hotel because of location to the Arc and Eiffel Tower. Rooms were small but very clean. The shower didn't have a curtain (by design) so the bathroom got pretty wet from the spray. I guess they know that and don't care. The staff was very friendly. Location wise it was great. The subway train was about a two minute walk and most stops to the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Notre Dame, etc. were only about 3 stops. There was also a bike station there if you wanted to rent a bike. We did this and it was fun, and cheap! Only 2 Euro per day! There was shopping and a open market just minutes away that was very nice. After staying over 2 weeks in Europe, I think all the rooms are small compared to American rooms unless you are paying a lot more. Would stay here again with no second thoughts.

Very warm welcome. Upgraded to large barroom. All very comfy and clean. Bathroom a little tired, but all in all for a business hotel it was great.

The hotel was ok. Very quiet.

Posted 08-Mar-2016
Pros: It was quite clean.
Cons: After speaking with reception, I was told that the breakfast area was in the same surroundings as the reception itself. No privacy.
Location: The location was extremely quite. Didn't seem like lots to do or see, until you explored out the area itself.
The experience at this hotel was ok. However the hotel was very small, especially in the reception area. also found the corridors, extreamly narrow and dark.

Our stay sucked

The beds were hard so I didn't sleep well, my replacement towels had throw up on it, the walls weren't soundproof so I had to listen to the couple next room getting it on, I actually changed my mind about getting another night and they charged me 10 euros for doing so. the location is far, you should try booking a room by the rock area(Google: le black dog), wish I would have known.

Nice basic hotel in good area near Champs Elysées

Posted 30-Aug-2015 on Hotels
I moved to this hotel. I was booked at the Villa Eugénie but their boiler exploded and they move me to their sister hotel the Villa Alessandra. It was not of the same calibre, which I could live with, but they didn't tell me before they sent me to my room that the air conditioning was out. Paris is too hot in August to just open the windows. The clerk offered me breakfast, but I didn't think I'd feel like eating after not sleeping all night. Booked the Noir nearby on hotels.com, but am now having to go through channels with hotels.com just to get a refund for the unused nights at the first hotel. The Noir has no services, but the room is comfortable and the air conditioning works well. Very good area with many good restaurants and Mo Courcelles very close. There is no telephone in the room, which I think odd. The wifi works well, and is they don't block sites like the New York Times with articles about "s*x" "g*y" or "r*pe" like the Villa Eugénie does. I had to put the * in those words because it seems that hotels.com is having a crise de pudeur and doesn't permit everyday words in its articles. Grow up people, aren't we adults here?

Great value, charming hotel in residential quarter

Hotel Noir is a wonderful hotel with very reasonable prices in this mostly residential neighborhood (17th arrondissement), close to the Courcelles Metro station (just a few stops north of Arc de Triomphe) and close to beautiful Parc Monceau. I stayed several nights -- including 2 nights each in probably their best room (with a rooftop terrace) as well as 2 nights in their cheapest room. I enjoyed my stay completely. The owner (Philippe), his wife, and other friendly staff will make your stay here very comfortable. The sitting room has lots of photos of 1960s models and other glamorous types ... so just picture yourself here with the 1960s jet set!
