Very central. Perfect location for our city break. Our room was at the back of the building, not a great view but at least it was quiet. A/c was a god-send as was the mini fridge. Room was serviced everyday. While the shower cubicle was small, there was loads of hot water and very powerful. Luigi was very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay, not a word of English but it really didn't matter, we managed to communicate everything necessary. Perfect location near to Statione Centrale, immediate access to everything so can walk to all main sights markets, cafes etc. Old school tall roomed building and made you feel as were "living" in the city rather than just being a tourist. Excellent security. Rooms overlook Via Roma but good sound proof windows, shutters etc. Breakfast is minimal but lots of local cafes. Description says 'external private bathroom' but this is a translation error as is ensuite. Owner/staff only speak Italian but adds to charm. A szoba tiszta, naponta takarítottak, és kétnaponta cserélték a törölközőket. A szoba légkondicionált, ami jól jött a 35 fokos melegben éjszaka. Közelben egy nagyobb bolt található, amely éjjel nappal nyitva van. Megérkezésünkkor (este fél 10-kor), a hűvös szoba fogadott minket, és kaptunk egy üveg hideg vizet, amely az egész napos meleg után nagyon jól esett. A reggeli bőséges volt, igaz csak édes dolgokból állt. Alla Martorana Bed & Breakfast is simple and basic, very clean, warm water all the time and the air conditioning system is perfect. The owner is very hostage even if he don't speak English at all but in a way we could communicate. The host, Luigi, was very accommodating. The location is great, right smack in the middle of historic Palermo. We were exceedingly lucky to be there on Sunday the 28th of September for the feast of the Madonna of Mercedes, which started around the corner from us. Truly it was a unique Sicilian experience. Starting with a procession, including fireworks, the release of dozens of white doves, a wonderful band and at midpoint a young Palermitano tenor singing Shubert's Ave Maria. I was extremely impressed with the kindness that was demonstrated during my stay. The husband-wife team showed a real interest in our lives and did everything to make this a great experience. I appreciated the little things, like putting special soaps in our shower, having a professional blow dryer for my hair, and extra blankets and pillows in the closet. They were very accommodating with their breakfast hours, and offered to have something prepared earlier on our last morning when we had to leave before breakfast hours. The kitchen gives the B&B a nice feel, and after eating food from the market one afternoon, the owner gave us ice cream just to be kind. Did I mention also waters before we left for the next city and offering to let us use their own private bathroom? Overall, excellent service. Clearly they love what they do. Bring a dictionary if you dont speak Italian, because they do not speak any English. I can't help but make a comment about the city. Personally, while it was nice that there were hardly any tourists, the area was dirty and there was nothing to do at night. Hardly anyone was walking the streets, a nice Italian tradition, and it was 40 minutes from the beach by bus. Mondello is a beautiful beach (with lockers to store your stuff!), but the city itself lacked charm. If you need to be in the heart Palermo and don't mind the distance from the beach, THIS IS THE B&B FOR YOU! =) ##### \* ### 8/10 Good #### Verified traveller 10 Jul 2014 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort #### 駅からの移動にも観光にも便利な立地 駅から徒歩でアクセスでき、観光にも便利な立地。B&Bだがエレベーターもあるので荷物があっても問題ない。オーナーは英語は話せないようだが非常にフレンドリーで気持ちがよかった。部屋は広くはないが清潔、WiFiも問題なくつながった。バスルームは廊下を挟んで向かい側に専用のものがあった。そのためか、非常にリーズナブルな料金で泊まることができた。窓を開けるとローマ通りを行き来する車の音がうるさいが窓を閉めればほとんど気にならない。エアコンもついているので暑くても窓を閉めることができる。朝食はクロワッサンとホットドリンク、ジュース、、、とシンプル。近くのヴッチリア市場の広場で夜になると魚や肉を焼く屋台が出てこれがなかなか気に入った。その他のレストランも徒歩圏内にそこそこあり食べるにも便利。 ##### Verified traveller ### 4/10 Poor #### Artur, Bodensee 14 May 2014 Liked: Cleanliness Disliked: Property conditions & facilities, room comfort #### Enttäuscht von überdurchschnittlich guterBewertung Doppelzimmer, mit Bad Schon bei der Ankunft versucht man uns das Doppelzimmer mit dem externen Bad zu geben. Nach wiederholtem nachhaken bekamen wir das mit internem Bad. Das Zimmer roch unangenehm muffig und war selbst mit dem Bad gefühlt kleiner als die vorgegeben 20qm. Die Fenster sind direkt zur Hauptstraße gerichtet. Man muss sich zwischen muffigen Zimmergruch und Lärm+Autoabgasen entscheiden. Die Federkernmatratze wird geschickt mit Select-Comfort Matratze umschrieben. Unseren Erwartungen hat sie nicht entsprochen, wobei Matratzen ein Fall für sich selbst sind. Auserdem möchte ich unbedingt den Duschkopf erwähnen. Dieser gibt ein unheimlich lautes pfeiffendes Geräusch von sich, von dem nahezu jedes mal Kopfschmerzen bekommt. Parkmöglichkeiten gibt es direkt um die Ecke auf dem "Piazza Cassa Risparmio". Dieser Platz wird von inoffiziellen Aufsehern bewacht. Für 1€ kann man hier unbesorgt trotz der ganzen Abschleppschildern das Auto stehen lassen. Das betreibende ältere Pärchen ist sympathisch und stets bemüht. Ihre Sprachkenntnisse bestehen nur aus dem reinem italienischen und ist somit für internationale Besucher ungeeignet. Das Frühstück findet zwischen 8:00-9:00Uhr statt. Es besteht aus süßen Crossaunts, Zwieback, Marmelade, Kaffee, Cappuccino, Saft (evtl Butter und Käse). Zu loben ist die gute WLAN Verbindung. ##### Artur ---
