The hotel has a great location and great bones, but it needs some refurbishment to be a true 4-star hotel. Although the lobby and restaurant area were in very good condition, the wall paper in the room and hallway was peeling in spots, as well as paint in the bathroom. The carpeting in several of the rooms we were shown was wrinkled and could have presented a trip hazard. The staff was extremely polite and helpful--they went out of their way to be of service. The room was not as quiet as it could been--motorcycles and ambulances from the nearby hospital could be heard. The restaurant had a somewhat limited dinner menu, but it was well-prepared and tasty. The buffet breakfast was outstanding. There were plenty of selections, and you could prepare your own espresso with a Nespresso machine and a good selection of coffee pods.
The hotel standard was no match to a normal mercure hotel. It definitely didnt look like a three star hotel. The breakfast for 15 euros seems a bit too much when nearby Ibis provides a good healthy breakfast for 10.50 .
We got a deal and hence booked this hotel, I would not really want to stay here again. The noise from the hairdryer could be heard all the way upto to the lift. The shower pressure was really bad.
Stayed for two nights on way back to UK from the Dordogne. Didn't eat at the hotel as we like to go out, so can't comment on the food. Renovations on restaurant and lobby when there, but the room was great and staff warm and most helpful. Definitely stay here again.
"Lovely hotel 10 minute drive from P of Versailles "
Peaceful area of Versailles away from the city. Can't fault the hotel but couldn't recommend the restaurant. Le Cafe des Artistes was truly disappointing. The food was a poor attempt at being creative with flavours but they got it so wrong. I would not venture upstairs to their Gourmet restaurant having eaten here.
The hotel is at a terrific price is you want to stay near (10 min by car) of Versailles. It is a bit outdated in terms of furnishings including the lobby, but at this price it doesn't matter much. Near a very nice shopping mall, so that is a plus.
The hotel was clean and the building was very attractive. The breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly. The hotel was expensive though, and it bit overpriced, also drinks in the bar were very expensive. If you are travelling by train or coach I would recommend the hotel as it is in easy walking distance of the palace, however if you are driving I would stay elsewhere as there is no car park and we could not get into the nearest public car park. We had to park several minutes walk away which is a problem if you have baggage to carry.

The exclusive LOGIS La Residence du Berry Hotel is located just a few minutes walk from the park and castle of Versailles and …More
Good location close to the Chateau and the restaurants and cafes. Hotel very good facilities. Would have given it a 5 if it had car parking. Off street parking is OK but very busy. But great to be able to walk out straight into the centre of Versailles. Would definitely recommend.
The marvel of its age, this splendid chateau was begun in 1668, taking over 20 years to convert a hunting lodge into Europe’s largest palace. Many of its rooms were stripped during the Revolution and still lie bare, but Versailles’ grandeur and magnificent formal gardens are unsurpassed. Just 20 km west of central Paris; RER Line C5 goes to Versailles–Rive Gauche, 700 metres from the entrance.
