"Quaint hotel in Monterey. Could definitely use some upgrading to the common areas. We stayed in the willow suite which was nice but has a really bizarre layout [walk through bathroom]. The granola was definitely not homemade when we were there."

"The dragging of bags in & out of buildings was terrible, we had to take an elevator & walk through 2 buildings to get to our room & go outside between buildings- some buildings did not connect making it even harder to find the room, would not recommend this for mostly this reason- people move & helpful, room clean & quiet"

"Yes the fireplace was warm after a while. I didn't need to use the parking lot. It seems there were a few improvements t like the coffee area. would like to see water bottles in the room even if I had to pay for it."

"Place is dated, run down looks like new owners are not putting any money to maintain, wood railing are falling apart, room was clean, Towels are a joke they are for a child, complementary brakfast, hahah foul of sugar muffin and a full of sugar OJ in a paper bag . You can’t check in 1 mint early . They want you to wait till 4 pm to check in, there there are 15 people waiting to check in with one person behind counter."

"Very cute exterior. Beautiful greenery surrounding the cottages with trees, gardens, fountains and seating areas. You can see the ocean from the front of the hotel and at night, if you leave your window open, you can hear the waves from your room. Small and cute internal structure with decent furniture. The room was pretty clean. I noticed one or two ants in the room but given the territory it's kind of inevitable and wasn't enough to concern me. Shower water pressure was great! Parking was fine. No issues. I didn't interact much with staff except when I checked out. Very friendly. Be careful at night near the trash cans. Raccoons like to raid the garbage cans. I would stay here again and would definitely recommend to others. Walking distance to alot of restaurants, shops and the ocean trail. Very convenient location. I felt safe during the day and at night. "

"I would not recommend this place. Our room was basically filled with the bed, and the carpet was so disgustingly dirty that we had to place towels on the floor to walk without our shoes. The walls were so thin that we heard several people snoring at night, as well as phones vibrating. We hardly slept! Very disappointing!"
