Pros: The history and old world charm.
Cons: Something like this would be perfect for hosting an afternoon tea or cocktail hour. Would love an opportunity to chat with the other guests.
Location: Unfortunately, staying there the weekend limits some of the shopping and sight seeing time as a lot of the shops, etc. are closed on Sunday.
The experience was wonderful. To stay in a two hundred eighty four year old house was truly amazing, cozy and and such a warm atmosphere. Our hostess was truly welcoming making us feel at home. The setting and views wee spectacular!

Stop and breathe at Combsberry!

Posted 14-Aug-2014 on Hotels
Can't say enough about the accommodations, the grounds and Ann, the owner and our host! Combsberry is a fantastic B&B...historic enough for character but modern enough for comfort and convenience; expansive grounds mean you always have a sense of privacy; it's minutes away from all there is to see in this part of Talbot County and, if you're lucky, Ann will make her baked French toast with peaches and pecans! Splurge for the Carriage House...it is absolutely worth it! I'm looking forward to returning as soon as I need to exhale again.

Pros: The setting and accommodations all top of the line
Cons: nothing needed
Location: Downtown Oxford has some wonderful restaurants. The Robert Morris has really fine food and great service
The Combsburry was a fantastic choice for a quick relaxing weekend away. The quiet and the direct access to the inlet off the bay made for a wonderful connection to the natural beauty of the Oxford MD area. The breakfast was wonderful too. Only 2.5 hours from DC this is very accessible.

Ahhh...The Comfort of Combsberry

Posted 18-Sep-2012 on Hotels
We spent a thoroughly enjoyable weekend at Combsberry to celebrate our 27th anniversary. The inn, built in the mid-1700's, is surrounded by 30 acres of farmland...it's QUIET. We stayed in the Victoria Garden room which, like the rest of the property, was clean, cozy, well-kept and comfortable. A highlight of each day was breakfast. We had fresh-made from scratch peach pancakes one day, and quiche the next, always accompanied by fruit, pastry, juice and coffee. Abby (the innkeeper) was always cheerful and a good source of information regarding local goings-on. Combsberry is only a 5 minute drive to downtown Oxford, and 25 minutes to St. Michael's. Stay here at the risk of being completely spoiled.

Loved it; was very pricey for one night but they are smart to have that option because most other places have a two night minimum.

Somewhat remote, but in a good way. An incredibly beautiful property. Waterfront and wonderful grounds. Main house is lovely. Hospitality is above reproach. We'll be back.

Combsberry Inn

Wondeful historic house with beautiful private rooms and common areas. Away from hustle of town. Beautiful peaceful 30 acres, waterfront with canoes available and a double hammock. Great Innkeeper and helper. Made delicious breaksfasts both days we were there. Courteous and pleasant, anxious to please. Well worth the expense for those who want quiet, beauty and relaxation yet we were close enough to town to get there quickly and easily. Highly recommended !!!

Ein unglaubliches schöner Platz

Posted 10-Jun-2014
Pros: Zimmer, Service, Lage - einfach alles
Cons: nein
Location: siehe oben
