My friend and I found our room to be adequate and comfortable for our stay . The motel is old but well maintained. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was average. Would recommend to others.

Close to the beach

Posted 11-Sep-2016
Pros: It was close to the beach, had a playground, and designated picnic area with grills. There was plenty to do and see not far from the hotel.
Cons: Attitude by hotel staff at front desk.
I think that a hotel with a great location would want to welcome their guests, encourage them to have a nice stay, and thank their customers for choosing them. Not a word about anything. Just, "Here's your key cards and your room is located down the hall." This set a very negative tone for our entire stay. The weather was great, the swimming pool was okay but falling apart in some sections, but it had a playground and a designated picnic area with grills and umbrellas. I understand that a major storm just blew through the area (almost 7 days before), but when you see a few stars and stripes of the American flag flying in the front a hotel, one begins to wonder what type of owners are these people. Yes, I am from out of town and all the more reason to ensure your guests have a positive experience. There's so much to see and do in the area and it's amazing, but I don't know if I'll come back and that's unfortunate.

Nice pet friendly stay

Posted 07-Sep-2016
Pros: The staff
Location: There are tons of things to do near by, including many restaurants either a short walk or drive away.
I had booked my trip on Expedia and when we arrived I found that the room we booked wasn't pet friendly. The staff noticed this as we were checking in and Farida checked to see if they still had any pet friendly rooms. She was able to accommodate us immediately with only minor changes that ultimately did not matter to us either way due to the one night stay. During our stay we noticed Bud walking around and talking to guests asking them about their trip, etc. He was also seen offering to help other hotel staff which we thought was very kind and not something you see too often any more.

Bugs everywhere!!

Posted 21-Aug-2016
It rained the day prior my son and I went to the movies we came back and hallway was loaded with little midges. The hallway was covered and our door to enter the room completely coved when we open the door to enter the room they all went in our room. We spent the next hour killing bugs everywhere in our room. What a dasater. I paid almost 300 for an ocean front room and could not even go out on the balcony at night. When I called the front desk that said sorry there is nothing we can do. I asked for some sort of bug spray they said they do not spray . Terrible experience. Never again.

I do so apologize for your midge experience. There truly is nothing we can do about this situation when it occurs. These guys live inland and with perfect weather conditions the swarm to the beach and/or get blown to us (luckily 2-3 times per year). They live for approximately 24 hours. We certainly were not the only hotel or area with them. I am so sorry they picked last Friday night to arrive.
